Jauz Biography (Age)
Sam Vogel was born on September the 2nd 1993 in Mill Valley, California, the U.S. He had a strong affinity for music and sound mixing when growing up. He says about his music career that he has always known he was going to do music but he just wasn’t sure how he would go about it. As he grew up, his dreams and aspirations continued to change.
At age 15, he started playing the guitar and making electronic music on his computer. He fell in love with this style of music because it was independent and he decided to get serious with it.
When he decided to pursue a career in music, he enrolled at Icon Collective music production school to learn all he could about his new field of interest. Sam worked hard and started releasing his own tracks before he adopted the name ‘Jauz’. He initially used the name ‘Escape Dubstep’ as a stage name but switched to ‘Jauz’ due to its shortness and simplicity. He described the name as a slang that means ‘bullshit’.
Jauz started his career officially in 2013 by doing remixes and the songs caught the attention of some well-known DJs like Skrillex, Borgore, and Diplo. Another individual that was key to Jauz’s career was Kennedy Jones. Jones played one of his remixes which brought him to the limelight. Jones also introduced him to Moe Shalizi who became his manager. This connection helped him to release music on Buygore (Borgore’s record label).
Jauz went ahead to release his single “Feel the Volume” in 2014 under Mad Decent (Diplo’s record label). He also released different songs on various electronic dance music labels like Spinnin Records, Monstercat, amongst others. In 2015, as part of a program, Jauz collaborated with Skrillex in the release of a single titled “Squad Out”. He also teamed up with Diplo to remix “Final Song” in December 2016.
The year 2017 was one of the biggest for Jauz. He founded and launched his record label – Bite This – on the 6th of November. He also released a number of singles including “The Game,” “I Hold Still”, “Ghost”, and “Claim to Be.”
Subsequently, he featured alongside different artists releasing songs like “Keep the Rave Alive”, “Motherfuckers”, “Diamonds”, “Super Fly”, and “Dance Floor”.
His Net Worth
Jauz is not prone to flaunting his wealth on social media so it is hard to pin down his actual net worth. With the number of YouTube views he has and the success of the songs he has released, his net worth is bound to be substantial. While some have reported the amount to be at about $1.7 million, others have argued that it is more. In all, he seems to be doing well for himself.
