Miranda Lambert is to country music what is to pop music… In what sense? some would ask. Well, we can’t think of any other country songstress who turns her real-life experiences (romantic inclusive) into music like the former Mrs. Shelton does. From her humble beginnings in the small town of Lindale, Texas where her family once had no place to live, Lambert has come a long way. As a celebrated country icon, Lambert has had all of her records go platinum and won multiple awards in the process including Grammys and the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Miranda Lambert’s Bio & Age
On the 10th of November 1983, Rick and Bev (née Hughes) Lambert welcomed their daughter Miranda Leigh Lambert into the world. Originally born in Longview, Lambert and her parents would later relocate to Lindale Texas. She is of English, Irish and Native American descent. The songstress was growing up fine with her parents who worked as private detectives until the oil crisis struck Texas and her family lost everything, including their home. It was a trying time for Miranda, her parents and her younger brother Luke as they spent several months moving from one friend or relative’s house to the next.
Things began to get better for the Lambert’s after their private investigative business began to pick up. Rick and Bev would come to work on the high profile case of the impeachment of President . As a child, Miranda helped with some of the cases but the work of a snooping detective was far from what she was called to do. It was her father’s musical side that she admired more and wanted to emulate.
Before dabbling in the private investigation business, Mr. Lambert was part of a country-rock group called Contraband. Miranda on her part, began singing professionally in high school and at 16, she participated in the Talent Show, Johnnie High Country Music Revue in Arlington, Texas.
Her dad taught her to play the guitar and she began writing her own songs. At the age of 19, she entered yet another talent competition, Nashville Star where she found more success than the first. She finished in third place and landed a recording deal with Epic Records.
Her debut studio album, Kerosene released in the summer of 2004 was a huge hit. It debuted atop the Billboard Top Country Albums charts and opened the doors to more success that would follow. Miranda wrote and co-wrote all the tracks on the album with help from her father.
Miranda Lambert went on to take the country music industry by storm releasing hit after hit. She has sold over 7 million records in the United States alone. On her third nomination, Lambert won her first Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her song “The House That Built Me”. She snapped up her second Grammy in 2015 when her album Platinum won Best Country Album. She has won the ACM Award for Female Vocalist of the Year for at least 9 consecutive times beginning in 2009.
Net Worth
Miranda Lambert has made tremendous success in her musical career. In addition to record sales, Lambert has been incredibly successful on the road. She reportedly made $20 million from the 2015 leg of her Platinum Tour. Her estate includes a 400-plus acre farm in Primm Springs, Tennessee which she purchased in 2016 for $3.4 million. Lambert also owns a suburban mansion in Nashville, Tennessee which became her sole property after her split from Shelton. The property was purchased for about $2.3 million in 2013. Her personal net worth has been estimated at $40 million.
Boyfriend
In recent years, since splitting from her longtime flame and fellow country star , Miranda Lambert has had to endure a couple of relationships that were annoyingly shortlived. But don’t feel pity for the songstress though, she that it has been a blessing in disguise as her experiences with those relationships have helped her make some of her best music. Where ever the topic of Miranda Lambert’s romantic life is discussed it would be incomplete without the mention of Blake Shelton. They were after all the power couple of country for about a decade.
Lambert and Shelton began dating in 2006, got engaged in 2010, married on May 14, 2011, and divorced on July 20, 2015. It was after her relationship with Shelton ended that her relationship woes began. While Shelton went on to build something solid with , Lambert struggled to find her dream man.
By December 2015, word got out that Lambert had begun a romantic affair with R&B singer Anderson East (pictured above) whom she met at Nashville’s Live on the Green Music Festival two months earlier in September. One year, two years and the pair looked like they would last forever but that was as far as they could go as they split up in 2017. Lambert then found love in the arms of Turnpike Troubadours frontman, Evan Felker.
After they met for the first time, Felker was convinced that Lambert was the one and two weeks was what he needed to realize he had to do away with his estranged wife Staci Nelson for good. He slapped her with divorce papers which they both signed by August 15th, 2018. However, trouble hit their paradise when word got out that Felker broke one of Lambert’s rules thus bringing their relationship to an end in the same month his divorce was finalized.
