Who is Tyler Grosso?
Tyler Grosso is a California-based American fashion designer best known for his brand Super Radical. Grosso was born on December 01, 1993, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Raised by his mother since his father left the family when he was two years, Grosso grew up a very shy child but this began to leave him while he was in high school. It was also in high school that he developed the passion for clothing designs. His passion was inspired by an American hip-hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, normally shortened to Odd Future. His high school teacher who was moved by his graphic design class project also encouraged him to start up his own clothing line. To pursue this newly found passion, Grosso had to drop out of school but first began working at a grocery store while taking an online semester class.
As a die-hard fan of the famous American rapper, record producer, Rakim Mayers, best known by his stage name ; and Steven Rodriguez, best known as ASAP Yams (the two are co-founders of the American Hip-hop group known as ASAP Mob), Grosso moved to the New York City to work an assistant for the group and there, he learned more about fashion and how to mix-match clothes to make a difference. Grosso also got his inspiration from movies, music and documentaries from the 70s and in 2015, he left ASAP to start his own streetwear under the brand name Superrradical.

1. A$AP Yams was Grosso’s Mentor
While with the A$AP group, Tyler Grosso worked basically under ASAP Yams not just as his assistant but also as his right-hand man and best friend. He left to form his own clothing line after Yam’s untimely death in January of 2015. Grosso worked with the Mob for three years.
2. Grosso’s clothing is inspired by music and historical events
Grosso’s clothing makes reference to various Hip-hop and rock bands and singers such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, and even the American singer, dancer, and actress.
3. Superrradical is known for its Genuity
Superrradical has so far gained a massive following with the brand’s collections typically selling out within the first hour of their release. The brand is truly genuine and is known for not hammering an ideology down the throat of its fans, the clothing line simply reflects anything and everything Tyler feels at the moment of designing them. He describes the brand as “a mood board of my emotions”.
4. Tyler Designs all his clothing himself
Tyler Grosso makes his designs by himself and uses the internet as a tool to get his clothing in front of his target audience. One of the shirts produced by Grosso had an image of airbrushed praying hands alongside Britney Spears lyrics reading “At Night I Pray.” Another of his streetwear has an image of the godfather of Atlanta .
5. Tyler took a break from clothing designing
Sometime in 2017, Tyler decided to take a break from his fashion designing. Tyler could not put up with the overwhelming volume of orders from his fans and he just wants to step back and re-charge a bit.
6. Tyler’s Accomplice to Rape Allegation
The young clothing designer was accused of being an accomplice in the rape of a young woman named Philomena. According to her statement on social media, the woman said Tyler, alongside WWE Cruiser Weight Champion Enzo Amore was fully involved in her rape which occurred in October 2017. Tyler is yet to make comment on the matter but Amore was suspended by the WWE following the accusations.
7. Tyler Grosso Girlfriend
Tyler once dated a fellow Los Angeles-based fashionista, style blogger and Instagrammer Too Poor. Her original name is Layla Shapiro and she hails from Palm Springs. Too Poor has been featured in outlets such as Bullet magazine, Galore, Complex, and The Cobra Shop. Currently, she has her own self-titled clothing line, Too Poor. She worked as a marketing assistant/social media manager for a cute and wild e-commerce store called Shop Jeen. Tyler has also dated Grace Shields, another Instagram celebrity who goes by the account name “gtshields”. Shields is known for posting selfies and moments from her daily life but her social media fandom grew following her affiliation with – a rapper best known for his 2017 hit “Betrayed”.
