Justin Chon’s Bio 

He was born in garden grove, California on the 29th day of May in the year 1981 as Justin Jitae Chon and grew up in Irvine, California. He followed in his father’s (Sang Chon) footsteps in making out a career in the movie industry after being inspired early in his childhood days watching his father’s films. His mother, Kyung is a pianist and a homemaker.

Chon is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he majored in business administration.

Career

Chon started his acting career in 2005, featuring in shows such as Jack & Bobby and Taki & Luci, he, however, came into limelight in the year 2006 after he appeared in a Disney channel film Wendy Wu: homecoming warrior where he played the role of Peter Wu, the brother of Wendy Wu who happened to be the main character in the film. The film was such a huge success that it garnered more than 5.7 million viewers on the night it was premiered.

In 2008 he starred in a high school cast Twilight as Eric Yorkie, the movie was also a massive success and further boosted his career. He repeated the role in other follow up twilight films like Twilight saga: new moon and Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

In 2013, he took the lead role, playing Jeff Chang, in the film 21 & Over. He was also in the independent film Innocent Blood, also in 2013. In 2014, he was a lead character in crime drama film Revenge of the Green Dragons. His other notable film credits include co-starring in Crossing Over alongside and the comedy horror film Hack in the year 2007.

Aside from his acting career, he has directed, co-written, produced other films like the 2015 hit film Man up, he also produced and starred in the 2017 film Gook – which won the Next Audience Award that year. He has also directed several short digital movies (most of which are comedy) that are viewable on his youtube channel.

Justin Chon is also enterprising, he co-owns a chain of clothing stores named the Attic, in California.

After dating for one year, Justin Chon tied the knot with his heartthrob Sasha Egorova in October 2014. The couple met in Hong Kong in 2013 through a friend and fell in love. Their love has blossomed ever since.

The couple welcomed their first child (a baby girl) in December 2017. Before the arrival of the baby, Chon shared the good news via his Instagram page by sharing a silhouette photo of his pregnant wife.

Egorova is of Russian descent and a model who left home at an early age of 14 to pursue and live her dreams. She studied flute at the Gnesin Music Academy in Moscow. After graduating from the academy, she switched her career from being a musician to modelling and has so far, worked with several fashion houses like Dolce & Gabbana, Elite.
