Who is Lil Poopy, How Old is He?
Lil Poopy is an American rapper who was born as Luis Rivera, Jr. on February 15, 2003, at Brockton hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts. As the story goes, his rap name Lil Poopy was inspired by the fact that he pooped on his dad anytime he attempted to change him.
When you’re raised in a neighborhood ridden with gangsters it is only natural that you grow to love the things that they do and the same goes for Lil Poopy who began rapping at a very early age and by the age of 9 released his very first song titled “Ima Cokeboy”. He gained widespread recognition for his remix of French Montana’s song “Pop That”. Part of the lyrics of the song has Poopy explaining that coke isn’t a bad word but only a reference to Coca-Cola/Soda.
He gained even more traction as a result of his appearance on the Lifetime reality series The Rap Game which premiered on New Year’s day of 2016. The show which is hosted by rapper Jermaine Dupri features aspiring rappers battle each other for the chance to launch professional hip-hop careers.

He recorded a video with French Montana for his Pop That Remix and became affiliated with Montana’s Coke Boys crew. Coke Boys is a name given to rappers signed to Montana’s Cocaine City Records label. However, after controversies surrounding Lil Poopy surged,. During his visit to Philadelphia’s Power 99 radio station, French revealed that he never did sign Poopy to his label.
Lil Poopy has rapped to ‘s beat for Stay Schemin. He has a song titled Lil Poopy Getting It In whose video was removed from YouTube. This was after authorities launched investigations into his family after perceiving as inappropriate his behavior in his videos shot at strip clubs.
Reports surfaced in August 2016 that Lil Poopy had signed a four-year record deal with Epic/Sony records. However, the information was falsified by after the music site confirmed from Epic’s executive vice president of media and strategic development, Laura Swanson that a deal was never penned. The label’s chairman and CEO, L.A. Reid took to Twitter to falsify the reports in a rather cryptic message.
Since then, Lil Poopy has not been signed by any record label, well, not at the time of this writing. The young rapper even spells it out in his Instagram bio part of which reads “Unsigned.” Lil Poopy continues to chase his dream of becoming a rapper while attending school.

Lil Poopy was born to parents Luis Rivera Sr and Jatoy Rivera. His father appeared as his father figure on The Rap Game. After his controversial music videos attracted the attention of authorities, his father Luis Rivera also known as Fat Louie was investigated for child abuse, however, the charges were later dropped.
In June 2016, Lil Poopy’s father when he was part of the 60 people arrested in a federal raid and charged with drug and gun trafficking. Events following the arrest are unknown to the media.
