Allan Kayser has a relatively uneventful career, but he has everything that makes a conventional Hollywood star – like being a part of a hit television series or going through one or two divorces.
He was involved in the hit television series Mama’s Classic in the 1980s. This role won him awards and established him as a young actor to watch out for. However, following that success, he seems to have developed a preference for roles in horror movies.
Allan Kayser’s Biography, Age
Allan Kayser was born in 1963, on December 18, in Littleton, Colorado. In 1978, he started his high school education at Columbine High School and graduated in 1982. Not long after graduation, Allan did something most celebrities today do when they want to focus on their career – he moved to Los Angeles, entirely skipping university education.
In the 1980’s he was making good strides where it concerns his career. His debut project was a comedy titled Hot Chilli made in 1985. Kayser played the role of Jason, one of four boys who crossed over to spend the summer in Mexico in search of adventure. He followed this movie up with the horror-comedy Night of the Creeps in 1986. He played the role of a character named Brad.
In the same year, Allan starred in the most defining project of his career. He played the role of a teenage boy named Bubba Higgins in the family-comedy television series, Mama’s Family. The series aired for 6 seasons from 1983 to 1990, however, Allan joined the cast of the movie in 1986 and starred in 95 episodes. The series catapulted his fame and recognition. In 1989, he would be nominated for a Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actor Guest Starring in a Drama or Comedy Series. This was for his portrayal of Bubba Higgins in Mama’s Family.
His growing status landed him on the celebrity tv game show The $25,000 pyramid. He was a celebrity contestant on five episodes of the show in 1987 alone. In 1989, he was on the special documentary Circus of the Stars. Allan Kayser also appeared on two episodes of the American panel game show The New Hollywood Squares in 1987 and 1989.
Career-wise, the 1990s were not a very busy time for Allan. He appeared in an episode of the popular television talk show Vicki! in 1992, and had another uncredited movie role in 1997 in the drama Journey of the Heart.
The 2000s saw his declining career experience a slight uptick. In 2002, he fulfilled two movie roles. The first was as the father of the character named Nicky in the drama Double Teamed. He then starred in More than Puppy Love as a character named Tony. In 2006, he was Eric McKenzie in the movie Shimmer, and as Tobias in the 2008 movie All Roads Lead Home. The next year, he was in the short horror movie Next Caller as the character Billy Bob Brown.
Four years later in 2013, he had another double-movie-role-year. He first starred in the horror thriller, House of Forbidden secrets as a character named Brad. Then he appeared in another horror movie, House of the Witchdoctor, playing the character Cliff Rifton.
Family, Wife, Is He Gay?
Following the success of the tv series, Mama’s Family, rumors began to circulate concerning Allan Kayser’s sexual orientation. The reason for this was mostly because his character in the series, Bobby Higgins had been seen on occasion sporting some really tight jeans. However, there are no records to suggest that Allan is gay or bisexual.
The actor has been married twice so far. His first marriage was to a woman named Lori Kayser. Nothing much is known about their dating history or the duration of their marriage. However, the couple divorced sometime in the 2000s. Allan also had two children from his marriage with Lori. Their identities are not known.
His second marriage was to a woman named Sara Kayser. Their dating history is also unknown. Allan tied the knot with Sara on August 23, 2014. With Sara, he also had two more children whose identities also remain unknown. There have been no rumors about infidelity or divorce concerning his marriage.
What is Allan Kayser’s Net Worth?
The Hot Chilli and Mama’s Family actor has not had a lot of movie roles or endorsements since he came on the scene to warrant a serious check of his net worth and overall assets. Owing to that, there is no reliable source on the web that states how much money the 80s icon is worth. A few unreliable sources, however, put his net worth at $1.5 million.
