Many women have attracted much media attention as a result of their relationship with famous stars and Jahira Dar is one of them. Though she is an actress, former stylist, and wardrobe consultant, Jahira Dar is best known to America as the one who helped their favorite Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan overcome the pains and trauma of his devastating divorce from his wife of 16 years, Ilusión Millan. Born in 1985, Dar hails from the Dominican Republic. She has managed to keep a very low profile life away from the media, and as a result, not much is known about her, except what her famous husband reveals to the media.
Jahira Dar was just a normal American living her life until she met Cesar Millan. How normal? Well, as of the time she met Cesar, she was working as a salesperson at a Dolce & Gabbana store.
From our sources, Dar once worked as a stylist before seeking to pursue a career as an actress. However, it appears that she hasn’t made much success in acting as no film she’s been featured in is known to the media. Dar has also worked as a wardrobe consultant.
From 2012, she appeared in some episodes of Dog Whisperer as Cesar’s girlfriend.
Facts about her Relationship with Cesar Millan
The year 2010 was a terrible one for Cesar Millan, it was almost as if all the demons in hell were unleashed on him. First, he lost his beloved American Pit Bull Terrier dog, Daddy (hello Dog Whisperer fans) on February 16th, 2010. The dog lost his life to cancer.
Though Cesar had trained Junior as a replacement, it did little to fill the void in his heart. “I have never had a dog like Daddy. I’ve been astounded by his intuition, consoled by his affection, and awed by his silent empathy,” Cesar gushed about his late dog in 2009.
As if dealing with the loss of his right-hand man wasn’t enough, Cesar’s emotions were further hurt by his wife Ilusión Millan who in June 2010 requesting the primary custody of their two sons André (b. 1995) and Calvin (b. 2001).
What’s worse? She requested for $23,000 per month in alimony and an additional $10,00 per month for child support. According to reports, Cesar shelled out a single payment of $400,000.
All of these drove Cesar to the edge forcing him to attempt suicide.
“I went into a big depression. I lost a lot of weight. And I felt that I lost the most important thing, which was my family,” Cesar told of the darkest time of his life.
Fortunately, Cesar was able to turn his life around thanks to exercising and work. And to crown it all, Jahira Dar came along. Cesar met Jahira in August 2010, about two months after his wife filed for divorce. By November of that same year, Cesar had already liked her enough to consider a marriage proposal.
He told E! at the time that he was waiting to seek her parent’s approval first. Despite teasing a proposal that early in their relationship, it didn’t come until 2016.
Cesar took to his Instagram page in April 2016 to reveal his engagement to Jahira Dar. Accompanied by a photo of himself kissing a smiling Dar with a rock on her finger and a bouquet of flowers that matched her coat, Cesar gushed sweet words about his flame.
Though the world got to learn about the engagement in April, it took place about a month earlier on March 25th, 2016 in Greece.
“Jahira came into my life at just the right time. Cesar told . “She was instrumental in helping me rebuild my life and my family after my divorce and break from the Dog Whisperer television show.”
As of this writing, Cesar is yet to announce when they would be walking down the aisle.
