This was from August 2002 to August 2004. Earlier, January 2001 to August 2002, she equally carried out a similar role for KGET-TV, an NBC-affiliated television station in Bakersfield, California.
Also, prior to Elita’s joining of the ABC-13 Eyewitness News Accuweather team in Houston, she was a member of NBC’s KBNC television program – “Today in LA”.

We have traced the beginning of Loresca’s journalism career to when she worked as a news associate for CBS’ KCBS-TV in Los Angeles. From what we learnt, her duties included assembling scripts and operating the teleprompter during newscasts.
Born on the 28th day of June 1977 in the Philippines, Elita was brought up in Southern California. Her family moved to the United States of America 9 months after her birth. When it was time for high school, she became a student of Chino High School. Here, she developed a liking for playing basketball. She eventually graduated from the high school in 1995 and proceeded to California State University, Fullerton. This saw Elita become a graduate of a Broadcast Journalism Program at the institution. She didn’t stop at this point as she moved on to Mississippi State University and grabbed a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology.
Subsequently, the American Meteorological Society handed the lady a Television Seal Approval and Elita is set for a career in Broadcast Meteorology. Currently, she is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
