Michael Carbonaro was born on the 28th of April 1976 in Oakdale, New York, United States. He is a successful American magician, actor and excellent prankster. Carbonaro is famous for pranking unsuspecting people with his magic tricks as content for his TV shows and has managed to trick his fellow magicians and celebrities as well.
He was once referred to as a magician’s magician for his fantastic magic skills which incorporate mind-blowing illusions and tricks that will transform even the greatest cynic into an ardent believer in magic. Mentored by the great Eugene Burger, Michael Carbonaro is a regular at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles which is a showplace for elite magicians to show their craft and has gone on to own an immensely successful TV show as well as earn a considerably high number of filmography credits to his name. Bio
Michael Carbonaro was raised in a fairly average family in Long Island, New York. His father was an electrician and his mom, a nurse. He has one known sibling (a brother) and got his diploma from Connetquot High School in Bohemia, New York. Michael Carbonaro went on to study drama at the Tisch School of Arts, NYU. Before gaining admission into NYU to study drama, he had already started performing at magic shows, off-Broadway shows, as well as corporate events around New York and paid for college from the proceeds he got for showcasing his magic tricks.
Things really kicked-off for Michael Carbonaro when he made a brave decision to leave New York as well as the gigs he was getting there for the city of Angels (Los Angeles) in order to be able to break into Hollywood sphere. Career
Michael Carbonaro started appearing on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2003 as a “Magic Clerk” of a convenience store that performs magical tricks on unsuspecting customers and continued to appear on this show until it came to an end on the 6th of February 2014. Although he had featured in two films before his appearance on Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2003, he only gained prominence after his appearance on this show.
His appearance on Jay Leno’s talk show opened doors for him and in. He played the role of WacArnold’s Manager on Episode 2.2 of Chappelle’s Show. Michael Carbonaro would go on to star as Andy Wilson in Another Gay Movie and as a Magician/Rookie Cop for 5 episodes of the American soap opera titled Guiding Light, in 2006. About a year later he was cast as Jeff Trapido in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2007). Carbonaro would go on to be cast as Robbie Barkley in the American black comedy God Bless America in 2011 as well as appear on the following TV shows from 2010-2012; CSI: Miami (2010), How to Make It in America (2010), Wizards of Waverly Place (2011), Grey’s Anatomy (2012) and iCarly (2012).
On the 1st of April 2014, Michael Carbonaro started his own TV show titled The Carbonaro Effect which is an American hidden camera/practical joke reality television series and the TV show continues to air to date. He has had a successful career as an actor and magician, however, he didn’t always want to be those things. As a kid, he wanted to be a makeup artist for horror movies and direct special effects on the set of these horror movies. Whether he would eventually venture into this branch of showbiz remains to be seen, nevertheless, he channels his passion for horror movie make-ups and special effects to his Halloween costumes and decorations.

There has been rumors and even arguments about Michael Carbonaro having a twin brother. These rumors emanate from the fact that in some of Michael’s live magic shows he has been seen in two places at a time and so some spectators have come to the logical conclusion that he must have a twin to be able to perform such a magic trick since it is not humanly possible for a person to be in two places at once. However, this ability to leave an audience speculating is only a testament to Michael’s exceptional magic tricks.
