The Gabbie Show was the name of the Vine channel operated by funny girl Gabbie Hanna. After amassing about 5 million followers on Twitter’s six-second video platform, Gabbie replicated the feat on YouTube creating a channel with the same name.
Gabbie has since renamed the channel to her own name Gabbie Hanna. However, her fans who’d been with her since her early Vine years do refer to her as Gabby Show. After Vine was shut down in 2016, Gabbie concentrated fully on her YouTube channels.

Gabbie was born as Gabrielle Jeanette Hanna on the 7th of February 1991, in New Castle, Pennsylvania to a family of 7. Her younger sister Cecilia Hanna, born on June 22, 2002, is an internet personality, her own niche being MUSICAL.LY where she is known as literallycecilia. Gabbie’s sister expanded her reach to Instagram in 2015.
After high school graduation, Gabbie proceeded to the University of Pittsburgh where she was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. She graduated with a degree in psychology and communications.
Post-college, Gabbie landed a job as a waitress and subsequently relocated to Los Angeles California when she landed a job with BuzzFeed. While working for Buzzfeed, Gabbie opened a Vine channel which soon propelled her to stardom.
That was in 2014. Gabbie immediately rebranded her image and proceeded to YouTube where she immediately replicated her Vine success.
In addition to her story time videos, Gabbie on her eponymous channel posts pranks, rants, vlogs, and challenges. As of January 2018, Gabbie’s channel has amassed over 5.2 million subscribers and over 600 million total views.
Gabbie also owns another YouTube vlog titled The Gabbie Vlogs. As the name implies, she posts only vlogs on the channel. The channel has garnered over 1.5 million subscribers and 152 million views.
By 2015, Gabbie began to move into other forms of media. She won the fourth season of Dance Showdown in 2015 alongside her dance partner Matt Steffanina.
Gabbie collaborated with her fellow YouTuber stars including Jack Baran, Ricky Dillon, Chachi Gonzales, and Andrew Lowe on Drop the Mic, a lip sync tour. During the tour, Gabbie showed her charitable side by asking her followers dubbed the showstoppers to donate canned foods so she could give to those who needed them most.
Her popularity soon began bringing non-YouTube gigs her way. Subsequently, Gabbie expanded her repertoire to include singer-songwriter, comedian, and author. Her first stand up performance was at an improv club in Los Angeles, California.
In July 2017, Gabbie signed with talent agency CAA to represent her in all areas including; television, motion pictures, digital content and partnerships, touring, endorsements, personal appearances, and publishing.
A month after penning the deal, Gabbie became part of MTV’s social media team which saw her serve as one of the backstage hosts for the MTV Video Music Awards. She then became part of the reboot of Total Request Live serving as both the social media correspondent and co-host.
Gabbie in September 2017 released her debut single “Out Loud” which climbed to #3 on the US iTunes charts. The song was inspired by her first book Adultolescence, released on September 19, 2017, where she comically and poetically documented her struggles through life.
Impressed with the success of her debut single whose lyric video on You-Tube garnered almost 2 million views within 24 hours of its release, Gabbie decided to do more music. Her sophomore single “Satellite” was released on November 21, 2017.
Gabbie has made appearances in the web series Laid in America and Escape the Night with Joey Graceffa.
