She has excelled beyond just becoming a model to a beauty queen recognized for her stints as Miss Missouri in 2008 and later as Miss USA Contestant. Details About the Family of Candice Crawford
It was on December 16, 1986, that the Texan beauty was born in Lubbock, into the family of Chris Crawford and Dana Crawford. While her father was a dermatologist, her mother was a high school teacher who would later focus more on being a homemaker.
Candice Crawford was brought up alongside a brother, Chace Crawford who has gained fame as an actor. Thus far, his career has been defined by productions such as the TV series Gossip Girl, Blood & Oil, as well as the 2012 film, What to Expect When You’re Expecting. Before deciding on becoming a professional actor, Chace had already started studying to become a broadcast journalist at Pepperdine University before he dropped out.
In 2011, Candice started her own family after she walked down the aisle with Tony Romo who at the time was already an NFL star playing for the Dallas Cowboys. Tony spent his entire career which spanned from 2003 to 2016, playing for the Cowboys.
Before Candice Crawford and Tony Romo met, the Dallas legendary player dated singer and actress Jessica Simpson. After the relationship ended, Tony began seeing Crawford in 2009. Only a year later and he was sure he had seen the woman he wanted to be with; the two got engaged on December 16, 2010, on Candice’s 24th birthday.
They got married five months later in May 2011 at Arlington Hall in Dallas. The event as was attended by a massive 600 guests. Close to a decade later, the couple is still enjoying a great married life that is blessed with three kids; Hawkins (b. 2012); Rivers (b. 2014); and Jones (b. 2017) all-boys.
When asked in an with Entertainment Online if they will be having another child, Romo declared he wants a 4th child. He however also admitted that his wife might want not want a 4th child but he “will push her in a year or two.” He further explained that once wives or moms have a baby they carry and that baby grows up, they would want to hold a baby again. He concluded by adding that he would try to have a baby girl but also added jokingly that it’s not his body though.
Regarding how they run their home, the football star revealed that his wife Candice is the stricter parent. He mentioned that he is the fun parent and their kids like playing wrestling with him.

In 2007, a few years before Candice was wooed by Tony, the former NFL star dated American Idol winner and award-winning country singer, Carrie Underwood. The irony is that after the relationship between Underwood and Romo ended, the next man that dated the singer from 2007 to 2008 was Candice’s brother Chace Crawford.
Her Career Achievements
Prior to kicking off her career, Candice Crawford schooled at Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, Texas and graduated in 2005. While she was still there, she began participating in beauty pageants one of which was her contesting in the Miss Texas Teen USA pageants from 2003 to 2005.
After she was through with high school, she proceeded to study broadcast journalism at the University of Missouri, Columbia from where she graduated in 2009. Continuing with beauty pageantry in college, she competed and won the Miss Missouri crown in 2008. This gave her automatic qualification into the Miss USA pageant which she emerged among the best 10.
She is also doing well in her journalism career which is something she started as a college student when she took up employment at KOMU-TV, a local station. Candice Crawford anchored The Closers, a sports show that aired on a weekly basis.
Fate would later pull her to Dallas Cowboys where she would intern for two summers, reporting for the team on their CBS segment The Blitz. Interestingly, she is from a family that had always supported the Cowboys. The beauty also spent some time on programs such as KOMU’s Friday Night Lights for which she worked behind the camera.
Following her stint with KOMU-TV, she moved to a TV network in Dallas, CW33 (KDAF). Her responsibilities there did not change so much as she was made to cover high school sports competitions and events among other things. She was a part of the network’s show The RC Project while also having a segment known as Up All Night. In addition to that, she also had another show, Special Edition which covered the Cowboys.
Candice Crawford is also a businesswoman who co-owns the company “Hawk + Sloane”. The company is into essential oil spray business targeted at parents. The mother of three founded the venture with Holly Siglin, her friend since middle school.
