In 2008, David Harbour gained wide popularity after portraying Gregg Beam, a CIA Agent in Quantum of Solace, a James Bond spy movie. The same year, he received wide acclaim after starring in Revolutionary Road as Shep Campbell. David Harbour landed the biggest role in his acting career in 2016 when he was cast to portray Jim Hopper in Stranger Things, an American science fiction-horror web television series. He has appeared in many episodes of the series and still features on the show.

His role on the Stranger Things TV series made him hugely popular around the world and even earned him nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film. However, the fate of his Stranger Things character is not known as he went missing towards the end of season 3 and may not make a comeback in subsequent seasons.
