His birth date is recorded as the 14th of January, 1990, and he was born in Norfolk, Virginia to his mother, Tina Haney – a pediatric nurse and father Thomas Gustin – a college professor. His birth name is Thomas Grant Gustin and he has two siblings – Gracie and Tyler Gustin.
Grant’s passion for the arts stemmed from his early years in high school. His parents also played a crucial role in setting him on the right path by enrolling him in schools that gave him the right nudge. He studied at the Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk. The program is specially held for musical theatre in Norfolk. During this period, he also attended the Hurrah Players Incorporated – a Virginia-based theatre organization.
