On the 10th of June, 1956, in Brooklyn, New York, Natalie (née Wortman) and Stanley Sekulow welcomed their son, Jay Alan Sekulow. Details about his childhood are few and far between as it is not clear if he was raised in the Big Apple since he received his high school education in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jay Sekulow attended Lakeside High School before enrolling at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Juris Doctor degree. He later went on to get his Ph.D. from Regent University in 2005. Prior to getting his doctorate, however, Sekulow was already an established lawyer. He was said to have started his career by working in the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a tax trial attorney. His main role there was to defend lawsuits in the United States Tax Court on behalf of the United States Department of Treasury.
In 1992, Sekulow became the director of the American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ). He has further gone ahead to become the chief counsel. While going about executing the duties of his profession at the highest possible level, Jay Sekulow launched and began hosting a syndicated daily radio program titled Jay Sekulow Live!. The show, which focuses on legal and legislative topics, and features a live call-in program, is broadcast on different terrestrial and satellite radios. In addition to that show, he also appears on a weekly television news program on Trinity Broadcasting Network and Daystar titled ACLJ This Week.
