What Happened To Joaquin Phoenix?
Out of personal conviction, Joaquin Phoenix decided to take a break from acting so as to spend time traveling around South America with his dad. Having achieved fame at such a tender age, the idea of a break sounded irrational to most fans and movie lovers, thus, leading to speculations that the actor has decided to call it quits on his career. Joaquin Phoenix laid dead such rumors in 1995 by making a comeback to acting in the criminal comedy-drama film To Die For, which was widely accepted by critics, paving way for bigger roles in his career.
Following his successful return to acting, Phoenix has starred in a long list of hit movies and TV Shows such as U Turn, Inventing the Abbotts, 8 mm, The Yards, Hotel Rwanda, Walk the Line, We Own the Night, I’m Still Her, Joker, and You Were Never Really Here which won him an award for best actor at the Cannes Film Festival Award.
Having conquered the movie industry as an actor, he decided to delve into directing. He is the brain behind music videos for artiste such as Arckid, Silversun Pickups, and Ringside amongst several others. And despite being in the industry for over three decades Phoenix still has the zeal of a wannabe, a quality which is rare among established acts.
