Joe’s Rise to Fame
The American sportsman started his career right from high school where he played on the baseball, football, and basketball teams. He attended Audubon High School and was a good sportsperson throughout his stay there. Towards the end of his high school days, he was listed in the class of 2003 quarterback prospects as number 39 by Rivals.com which considered him as a three-star recruit.
When Joe moved on to the University of Pittsburgh that same year (2003), he became a part of the Panthers football team. As a freshman, he was redshirted and became the team’s backup quarterback to Tyler Palko in 2004. As a backup, he only played three matches against the University of South Florida, Ohio University, and the University of Nebraska. That season ended with him having only one 11 yards completion.
He promptly transferred to Delaware College and had his first full action in the 2006 season and by 2007 season, he was leading his team. By the end of his Delaware time, he had set 20 school records and bagged a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree. Delaware honoured him in September 2009 with a 20-by-30 foot poster in the stadium.
In the 2008 NFL Draft, he got signed by the Ravens for a $30 million five-year contract. He played amazingly for the team, leading to their victory at the Super Bowl in the 2012 season. He has a good number of NFL and franchise records to his name.
His Salary and Net Worth
In 2013, Joe Flacco became the highest paid player in the NFL. The year saw him ink a six-year, $120.6 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens. Three years later (in March 2016), he signed a contract extension for three years worth $66.4 million.

Joe Flacco Family – Brothers, Wife, and Children
The XY chromosome seems to be the dominating in Flacco’s family. Joe Flacco has four boys and only one girl; interestingly, he is the first son of his parent’s five boys. His younger brothers are Mike Flacco, John Flacco, Brian Flacco and Tom Flacco. For avid sports followers, these names might ring a bell.
Mike Flacco is a Baseball player who got selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2009 Major League Amateur Draft. On 15th March 2013, he was traded by Orioles to Boston Red Sox but he turned down the offer and retired from baseball. He then took up football upon enrollment with the University of New Haven.
John Flacco is with the Stanford Cardinal Football team as a walk-on receiver. And, the youngest brother, Tom Flacco is also a quarterback. He played for two seasons (2015 and 2016) for his college team, Western Michigan University and in 2017, transferred to Rutgers and finally to Towson in 2018.
On the 25th of June 2011, Flacco became a married man. In a very traditional Catholic wedding ceremony, he got married to Dana Grady, his high school sweetheart. They held a reception in the city of Philadelphia.
Joe Flacco might well be on his way to creating his very own football team, he has five very adorable children already. Barely a year after their wedding (13 June 2012), Dana put to bed, a bouncing baby boy and he was named Stephen Vincent. Some fifteen months later (on September 15, 2013), the couple welcomed their second son, Daniel.
Francis Michael, their third son, made his own appearance into the world on January 20, 2015. Then came their princess and only daughter (yet?) on the 27th of September 2016; she was named Evelyn Renee. Some persons thought well, that’s got to be the last but Joe said no. Some months ago, precisely on 6th April 2018, Thomas Kevin, their fourth son but the fifth child was born. Are there more little Flaccos on the way? We can only watch and see.
