Adam was born Adam David Lallana on the 10th of May 1988 in St Albans in Hertfordshire where he was raised until the age of 5 when he relocated to the Ilford area of Bournemouth. His parents are David and Sharon Lallana. Adam is of Spanish descent, his paternal grandparents immigrated to the UK from Madrid.

Adam’s father David is an avid Freemason, one of the world’s largest fraternal organizations that have been traced back to the local fraternities of stonemasons. David Lallana helped establish a football-themed masonic lodge in Southampton. Adam, like his father, has come to learn a lot about freemason. He has a sister named Natalie Lallana who is his advisor. Not much is known about Lallana’s mom Sharon, but she is said to be close friends with Joanne Shaw the mother of England professional footballer, who played with Adam at Southampton.

Growing up, Adam shared a passion for football with his dad David and both supported Everton. Adam schooled at both Corpus Christi School and St Peter’s Catholic Comprehensive School. He began playing football as a young lad and was a member of AFC Bournemouth. In 2000, at the age of 12, Adam’s skills attracted the attention of scouts from Southampton and he soon joined their academy. Adam spent the next 6 years honing his skills at the Saint’s Academy before he got promoted to the senior team in 2006. The same year, he was called to join the England U-18 team.

In 2007 he was loaned briefly to AFC Bournemouth and when he returned, he quickly worked his way to the first team and in 2012 became the captain. Lallana would help Southampton earn two promotions from the League One to the Championships and to the Premier League.

Adam signed a 5-year contract with Southampton in 2013, however, while preparing for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, he began attracting interest from Merseyside club, Liverpool FC. Following England’s exit from the World Cup, Lallana in June 2014 signed with Liverpool on a deal reportedly worth £25 million. In his 8 seasons at Southampton, Adam scored 60 goals from 265 appearances.

Injuries delayed Lallana’s appearance for Liverpool which came later in September 2014. His first goal came in October the same year in a league game against West Brom. Since joining Liverpool, Adam has helped the side reach finals in the Football League Cup, UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Europa League.
