Of Guatemalan and Puerto Rican descent, the beauty was born in Puerto Rico on April 25, 1992. Her mother is identified as Leslie Torres, a Puerto Rican while her father is a Guatemalan-born singer-songwriter known as Ricardo Arjona. Due to her father’s profession, Adria had the opportunity to travel around a lot while growing up. He would have her tag along during his tours and the experience provided the leeway for her to have close contact with the beauty of the performing arts, music, and also nurture and work on her dreams to be an entertainer.

She spent most part of her childhood in Mexico City and relocated to Miami at the age of twelve. Miami was home for Adria until she turned eighteen after which she took to the Big Apple – New York City to make sure her dreams were actualized. While taking acting classes at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, she took several jobs as a waitress and hostess to make ends meet. Apparently, she didn’t want to rely on her parents for her upkeep while waiting to take the entertainment industry by storm.

Unlike her father who is a singer, Adria Arjona chose acting. Her acting career spreads across both the big and small screens. Though she has not been around for a very long time, Adria is gradually building up her resume as an actress. Her first acting stint was in a 2012 short film titled Loss where she played a minor role. Her next appearance came in 2014, in another minor part in one episode of TV series Unforgettable which was followed by two episodes in a second series – Person of Interest in the same year. Adria continued to take up small roles while waiting for her big break which finally came in 2015. The role that got her the media attention she needed was as Emily in True Detective.

Adria hyped up her performance in 2017 by playing the role of Dorothy Gale in ten episodes of the TV series, Emerald City. Prior to that, she played parts in films like The Belko Experiment, Eos and Wedding in New York. Some of her recent works include Pacific Rim: Uprising and Life of the Party, both in 2018 while Tripple Frontier and Six Underground are in post-production stage for 2019. She also has the series Good Omen lined up for 2019.
