Adrian Pasdar is a film and television actor as well as a renowned voice artist. He gained prominence in the 1990s as the lead star of the short-lived TV series Profit and in the early 2000s, he headlined the sci-fi series Mysterious Ways. More recently, he has come to be known for voicing the lead role of Iron Man in the TV series Marvel Anime: Iron Man. Pasdar also reprised the Iron Man role in other Marvel Comics animated series Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble.

In addition to his extensive TV work, Adrian Pasdar also has numerous film credits to his name dating as far as the 1980s. Adrian Kayvan Pasdar was born on April 30, 1965, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts but his family moved to Powelton, Pennsylvania when he was a toddler. Growing up, he was a very skilled football player and he ultimately gained a football scholarship into the University of Florida in 1983. However, a severe accident in his freshman year put an end to his promising career. He switched his interest to acting and writing and by the time he quit college, he gained employment with a Pennsylvania-based theater company as a member of the backstage crew. He later studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York City.

Pasdar marked his film debut in the action film Top Gun (1986) starring as Chipper, a role which was specifically created for him. This lead to more acting roles in the films Solarbabies (1986), Streets of Gold (1986) and his first lead role in the horror flick Near Dark (1987). The talented actor outdid himself when he starred as a beautiful woman in the British comedy film Just Like a Woman (1992). He also had minor parts in Carlito’s Way (1993) and Ghost Brigade (1993).

Adrian Pasdar got his first small-screen role in 1996 when he was cast as the titular character of the drama series Profit. The series lasted just one season, however, Pasdar’s performance sufficiently announced him to TV audiences. He got his second TV lead role as Declan Dunn in the sci-fi series Mysterious Ways (2000-02). He equally had a recurring role in the legal drama series Judging Amy (2003-05) followed by guest appearances in season 2 of Desperate Housewives (2005). Adrian Pasdar is currently unmarried though he had been married in the past. He had a longterm marital union with singer-songwriter Natalie Maines, the lead vocalist of the female country music band the Dixie Chicks.

The duo met in May 1999 at the wedding of one of Maines’ bandmate Emily Erwin. After dating for a little over a year, they tied the knot in a $55 ceremony held at Las Vegas’ Little White Wedding Chapel on June 24, 2000.

The couple welcomed their first child on March 15, 2001, a son named Jackson Slade Pasdar. Their second child Beckett Finn Pasdar was born on July 14, 2004. Pasdar’s marriage to Natalie Maines came to an end after 17 years as the latter filed for divorce in July 2017.
