That interest kept him focused until he became a professional boxer at the age of nineteen and has built a career that has him as the fifth best boxer in the world by The Ring magazine in 2012.

His road to pay-per-view fight with an icon like started in May 31st, 2008 after three consecutive knockout fights against Allante Davis, David Warren Huffman, and Ramon Flores in the first round.

Broner had a chance to grow his name further at the prestigious boxing venue, MGM Grand in Las Vegas and he took it. He defeated Terrance Jett in the sixth round, taking his professional record to 4-0. He continued his streak in 2008 after he was paired with Eric Roker. He won the fight with a no-contest decision and ended his first year of professional boxing with 5 wins and zero losses.

Adrien continued his winning streak, from 2008 to 2010, accumulating a record of 16-0. He won his first title in a fight against Carlos Claudio, winning the vacant WBC Youth Intercontinental Super Featherweight title after Carlos retired during the fight.

Not relenting after his first taste of a title, Adrien continued his streak, picking up several titles along the way like the WBO Super Featherweight title, Inter-Continental Super Featherweight title, WBC lightweight title and the WBA Welterweight title in 2013 which he won after a fight with Paulie Malignaggi in a split decision. At the time of this win, his record was 27-0.

His first loss in professional boxing came immediately after his win over Paulie against Marcos Maidana. He lost via unanimous decision after twelve rounds and lost his title to Marcos. Since his first loss, he has lost three times and currently has a fighting record of 33-3. He is scheduled to fight Manny Pacquaio in January for the WBA Regular Welterweight title.

Outside of boxing, he has been the subject of multiple controversies like arrests for sexual battery charge and misdemeanor battery.
