Alice Cooper, Real Name, and Age

The world has come to know him as Alice Cooper, but his real name is Vincent Damon Furnier. He was born on February 4, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan and was brought up in a Christian family with a father and grandfather who were apostles in The Church of Jesus Chris.

Spending his early life as a church boy just as would be expected of a pastor’s son, Cooper later moved with his family to California and later Arizona. His first interest in music began when he was still just a boy. At first, it seemed to be just the normal music, but time would prove it to be something different.

For his education, he attended the Washington Elementary School before he moved to the Nankin Mills Jr. High. Next, he went to Cortez High School when his family moved to Arizona.

When Alice Cooper was 16, he formed his first band, The Earwigs which would evolve to The Spiders, and then later change its name to Alice Cooper. In the years to come, Cooper would go on to release close to 30 albums including Paranormal (2017), Welcome 2 My Nightmare (2011), The Last Temptation (1994), Zipper Catches Skin (1982), Lace and Whiskey (1977), Alice Cooper Goes to Hell (1976), Love It to Death (1971), Easy Action (1970), and Pretties for You (1969).

Apart from music, Cooper has likewise made appearances in a number of movies including Diary of a Mad Housewife (1970), Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991), The Attic Expeditions (2001), and Dark Shadows (2012).

Through his career as a musician, Cooper has won many accolades including at the Revolver Music Awards, Kerrang! Awards, and the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards. He has also had two Grammy Awards nominations for Best Music Video, Long Form for Alice Cooper: The Nightmare (1984) and Best Metal Performance for Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn) 1997.

Looking at his family life, Cooper is a married man. Before meeting his wife, Alice has been in some relationships in the past. The first woman he was publicly known with was Christine Frka would, unfortunately, die in 1972 following an overdose. He was again linked with Cindy Lang. Together, they lived for some years before finally ending their relationship. After the breakup, Lang who died in 2017 would sue the musician for Palimony.

Sheryl Goddard is the woman that he went on to marry in 1976. By 1983, the marriage was heading for the rocks as Goddard was ready to call it quits, hence she filed for a divorce. Fortunately for Cooper, he would be able to reconcile with his wife.

Alice and Sheryl Goddard have three children: Calico Cooper who is an actress and singer born in 1981, Dash (1985), and Sonora Rose (1993).
