Anderson East – Bio, Age

His given name is Michael Cameron Anderson and he came into the world on the 17th of July 1987 under the star sign of Cancer. He was born in Athens, Alabama and was raised in a home where gospel music was the order of the day. Although the identity of his family members is not known, the records have it that his grandfather worked as a preacher in the Baptist Church. His dad functioned as a member of the church choir while his mum was competent as a church piano player. Anderson’s nationality is obviously American as indicated by his place of birth while his ethnicity is white.

He achieved his early education at Athens High School located in his home town of Athens, Alabama. After his high school graduation, he continued to Tennessee State University, he also studied at Murfreesboro, Tennessee at Middle Tennessee State University where he bagged a degree in music engineering. Upon his graduation from the university, Anderson moved to Nashville to commence his musical career, though he was already experimenting with music right from his 7th grade in high school.

It was in his 7th-grade talent show that Anderson East played his first song titled Brains which he wrote himself. The show served as his stage debut which he accomplished along with his friends who joined him to become a band. According to the aspiring artist, he got his inspiration from famous musicians like Ben Folds; he became competent on the piano and began composing his own sons during his high school days.

Music Career

He first worked with Holly Williams – strumming guitars, voicing harmonies, as well as opening for her. His debut album titled Closing Credits for a Fire was released in 2009 under the name Mike Anderson. His EP titled Fire Demos came under the name Anderson East and Flowers of the Broken Hearted which came as his second self-produced album was released in 2012. The album dropped as a couple of individual records with the initial one recorded along with session players in LA and the next one recorded in Nashville.

His debut main label record was titled Delilah – it hit the music stand during the summer of 2015 from Elektra records. Anderson also did some recordings at a legendary recording studio in Muscle Shoals known as the FAME Studios. His recordings featured some guest artists like Chris Stapleton and Jason Isbell.

He was part of the Fifty Shades Darker Soundtrack in 2017 with the song What Would It Take which he wrote in collaboration with Aaron Raitiere. The track made #1 on the US Billboard 200. He also undertook the coverage of Josephine – Brandi Carlile’s song which was for her charity album Cover Stories.

Girlfriend

It was confirmed by People and US Weekly that Anderson was in a romantic relationship with Miranda Lambert – a famous country singer. Where they met and when they started dating is not known but Anderson East collaborated with Lambert on her album titled The Weight of These Wings which was released in 2016. The duo co-wrote a couple of songs titled Well-Rested and Getaway Driver which were part Lambert’s 2016 album.

Anderson East was also part of another of her tracks titled Pushin Time where he supplied the background vocals. When Lambert was honored with a Grammy Award, they walked the CMA as a couple but according to the grapevine, they are no longer together. On his own part, Anderson is still visibly single and is not involved in any relationship with the opposite sex or he may be having one and keeping it a secret and confidential.
