Drafted in 2005, Andrew Mccutchen etched his name among Major League Baseball greats during his time with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The outfielder has won a plethora of personal and team accolades, including being named to the All-Star Game for five consecutive years starting with the 2011 season. Mccutchen has operated at the upper echelons of baseball, commanding juicy contracts with some of the top teams. He has represented the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees, and most recently, the Philadelphia Phillies.
He opted out of a commitment to the University of Florida to join the Pittsburgh Pirates after the team selected him 11th overall in the 2005 MLB draft. In 2006, his first full season as a professional in the minors, he was named the Minor League Player of the Year. As part of the package to bring him to Pittsburgh, he was offered a $1.9 million signing bonus.
Andrew Mccutchen made his major league debut against the New York Mets on September 4, 2009. In that game, he played center field and was the first batter. Andrew ended the game with two singles and one RBI. He also scored three runs and recorded one stolen base. In 2012, Mccutchen put pen to paper on a six-year $51.5 million contract. The deal was signed on March 5, 2012. Throughout his glittering eight-year career with the Pirates, he held the record for the most appearances (676) and also the most home runs at 92.

Andrew was traded to the San Francisco Giants on January 15, 2018, in exchange for two of the Giants players and $500,000 in international bonus slot money. He started with the Giants by making six hits in a single game for the first time in his career. This was on April 7, 2018; against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In August, Mccutchen moved to New York Yankees in a deal that handed him $65.25 million for seven years. But then, he didn’t stick around to see out his deal as he was soon off to Philadelphia Phillies where he was signed to a bumper three-year deal worth a staggering $50 million. The contract signed on the 12th of December 2018 had a $15 million club option and a $3 million buyout for 2022.
