Anthony Miller’s Bio

Anthony Miller was born in Memphis, Tennessee in the United States on October 9, 1994; and he started playing football since he was five. He attended Christian Brothers High School situated in Memphis, where he participated in various track and fields events. Miller was the Division II Class AA state 110m champion. He is also a two-time regional champion for the 110-meter hurdles as well as a runner-up in the Division II Class AA long jump.

While he was in high school, Miller also played football under coach Kevin Locastro. He was redshirted in 2013 and later in the same year; he led the Tiger’s team in offense, thus receiving the Tiger’s Scout Player Award. The following season, he suffered a preseason shoulder injury which kept him away for the rest of the season. He made his return during the 2015 season and was featured in twelve games, out of which he started four. He further recorded 47 passes covering 694 yards with five touchdowns. Miller finished the season as the third highest scorer with 42 points and he recorded 47 receptions in the same season.

College Career

Upon graduation from high school, Miller enrolled at the Memphis College where he continued his collegiate career. During his junior year in 2016, Anthony Miller recorded his career best, starting all thirteen games and also setting a franchise record with 95 receptions, 1,434-yardage, and 14 touchdowns. At the end of the season, he was named All-American Athletic Conference second team and was nominated for Burlsworth Trophy Award.

The following year, Miller recorded significant improvement in his career; finishing with a single-season record of 96 catches with 1,462 yardage and 18 touchdowns. Following his excellent performances, Miller was named Memphis Sports Person of the Year, NCAA Consensus All-American, and All-American Athletic Conference First Team. He was voted first team All-American honoree by Associated Press and AFCA, as well as second-team honoree by Sports Illustrated and FWAA. Alongside Isaac Bruce, Anthony Miller graduated from Memphis college with over 1000 yardage and highest single-season receivers in the school’s history.
