If you are a big fan of The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), then you should be familiar with the face of Arianny Celeste who has been a ring girl for the Las Vegas-based mixed martial arts promotion company since 2006. The American ring girl is also a model who has appeared on the Playboy magazine and co-hosted U.S automotive reality TV show Overhaulin’ which ran for five seasons on TLC and the sixth and subsequent seasons on Discovery (Cablevision) and on Velocity. Arianny Celeste Bio
Celeste was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on 12 November 1985 as Penelope López Márquez. She was nicknamed “Arianny” as a child. She is of Filipino and Mexican descent and attended Eldorado High School and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) where she graduated from with a major in fitness management and nutrition.
Arianny has always been an athlete, she loves gymnastics and has been deeply involved with dancing and cheer-leading. As a fitness model, Arianny Celeste creates her own recipes and exercises.
Ring Girl Career
Celeste kicked off her career as UFC ring girl in 2006 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Paradise, Nevada and that same year she was voted the Ring Girl of the Year. At the first World MMA Awards in 2008, Celeste also won the Award as the Ring Girl of the Year; the following year, she won the Award for the second time in a row beating the likes of Logan Stanton and Natasha Wicks.
At the 2010 World MMA Awards, Arianny Celeste won the Ring Girl of the Year for the third consecutive time beating Brittney Palmer and Rachelle Leah; she also won the Award in 2011. For the next two years (2012 and 2013) she lost the Award to Palmer; however, in 2014, she reclaimed the title from Palmer, making it her fifth of winning the Award, thus making a record.
Her first major break as a model was at the age of fifteen and she has modeled for big magazines such as Sports Illustrated, Maxim, Fighter’s Only Magazine FHM, and Playboy. In February 2010, Arianny Celeste was named “Lady of The Day” by Sports Illustrated and the following month Maxim voted her as “The Hottest UFC Octagon Girl” featuring as the issue’s cover girl.
Arianny has also been featured on Maxim’s Hot 100 list for five times in a row (2010 – 2014) ranking #23, #69, #58, #18 and #59 respectively. In 2010, the model posed nude in the November issue of Playboy, boosting significantly the magazine sale for that month.
Asides from her modeling and Ring Girl career, the beauty has also done a couple of hosting jobs. In 2010 UFC premiered a weekly, web-only show called UFC Ultimate Insider which was anchored by Arianny Celeste and where they interviewed several UFC fighters.
Celeste also co-hosted U.S automotive reality TV show Overhaulin’ which ran for five seasons on TLC and the sixth and subsequent seasons on Discovery (Cablevision) and on Velocity. In 2011 she served as a judge at Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant.
She appeared as an Octagon girl in video games: EA Sports UFC 2, UFC Undisputed 2010, EA Sports UFC and UFC Undisputed 3.
