Beautiful, young, exceptional, and hungry for success. These are just some of the terms that can be used to describe the American actress, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. Still, in the beginning phase of her career, Aubrey has already enjoyed immense success professionally, especially for her involvement in the hit television series Modern Family. As at 2018, the series has wrapped up ten seasons.

Born on June 6, 2007, Aubrey experienced her early years in Santa Monica, California, in the United States. The child actress has been kept busy since she burst onto the scene at the age of four. This was the year in which she joined the cast of ABC’s successful sitcom Modern Family.
At the time, the show was already in its third season. She was brought on to play the role of Lily Tucker-Pritchett, a young Vietnamese girl adopted by a gay couple from America played by Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker. In order to keep Aubrey as part of the cast, the network and the writers of the sitcom had to write out twins Jaden and Ella Hiller.
On the series, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons got to work with other big names such as , Jeremy Maguire, and Ty Burrell. The child actress who has appeared in over 180 episodes of the show as at November 2018, was the youngest actress on the red carpet of the Primetime Emmy Awards of 2012 and 2013. She was just five years old at the time.
For her excellent portrayal of Lily in Modern Family, Aubrey clinched three consecutive Screen Actors Guild Award starting in 2011. On the award nights, she won in the category for “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series”. She was also nominated for the same award in 2014, although she didn’t win it.
Following her announcement to the world with Modern Family, Aubrey Emmons has been guest, presenter, and judge on a slew of television shows. In 2013, she appeared in a short comedy production Child Star Psychologist 2 with Kiernan Shipka. In the same year, she was a guest on Live! and turned presenter for the first ever The World Dog Award Show in 2015.
More recently in 2016, she was one of the judges on Food Network’s cooking show Beat Bobby Flay. In 2018, she also appeared on an episode each of the reality TV game show Paradise Run, and the family-oriented show Home & Family.
In 2016, Aubrey Anderson Emmons played a voicing role on an episode of the educational TV series for kids Arthur. The following year, she appeared as herself in an episode of the Netflix show, Bill Nye Saves the World.
Family and Parents
Aubrey was born to Kent Emmons and Amy Anderson. Her parents, like her, make a living in the entertainment industry. While her father, Kent is an entrepreneur in the media industry, while her mother, Amy Anderson is a prolific stand-up comedian. Kent and Amy are, however, separated.
On Modern Family, the show’s storyline draws parallels between Aubrey’s character Lily and her mother Amy Anderson. Like Lily, Amy was raised in the United States but was born in another country, in Amy’s case, Seoul, South Korea. She was adopted and brought to the United States by Swedish American parents.
Amy is a professional classical musician and even attended Westminster Choir College where she earned herself a Bachelors in Music Education. Since then, Aubrey’s mother has worked with adults with autism, headed a coffee shop and run her own pet care outfit. She finally settled for a career in comedy and is currently a regular on the comedy circuit in Southern California and a frequently works with Mom Squad, a coming together of female comics.
Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, whose mother has appeared in an episode of Modern Family, runs a Youtube channel FoodMania Review with her mother. She is the only child of her parents, however, from her father, the actress also has a half-sister named Ashley Emmons and they are quite close.
