Aubrey Plaza is well-known as an American comedian and actress. She was on the principal cast of the NBC political satire sitcom Parks and Recreation where she played the role of April Ludgate.
The talented actress went on to star in several other movies and TV productions before landing her first lead role in the 2012 Sci-fi comedy Safety Not Guaranteed. She is on the main cast of the FX cable TV series Legion where she plays the recurring role of Lenny Busker.

Aubrey Christina Plaza was born on June 26, 1984, in Wilmington, Delaware. She was named after the 1972 single “Aubrey” by the pop-rock band Bread. Her father is originally from Puerto Rico and her mother is half-English and half-Irish.
Her mother Bernadette is a lawyer and her father David Plaza worked as a finance consultant. She was raised alongside two younger sisters named Renee and Natalie. Theirs was a highly dedicated Roman Catholic family.
Plaza had her elementary and high school education at Ursuline Academy in Wilmington, Delaware. She went on to become the president of her school’s student council and she graduated in 2002. She earned her early acting experience in the theatre productions of the Wilmington Drama League in her home community. In 2002, she received the Lions Club Wilmington Teen of the Year Award.
Prior to the official take-off of her professional acting career, Aubrey Plaza interned at a number of media corporations including the NBC Page Program. As an NBC page, she featured in a number of TV shows including the sketch comedy show 30 Rock (2006). She also interned in the art department of NBC’s late-night show Saturday Night Live. She later studied at the prestigious New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
