Blake Fielder-Civil – Bio

Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband was born on the 16th day of April 1982 and his birth took place in Northamptonshire, England. He is the son of Georgette Civil and her husband Lance Fielder. He didn’t experience a stable childhood as his parents separated when he was an infant. As a result of this, he was raised by his mother and stepfather whose identities are not yet known. Blake is of English nationality and belongs to white ethnicity.

While he was growing up, he attended Bourne Grammar School where he was very good in English. Due to his mischievous nature, he didn’t finish his high school education; he dropped out before his graduation.

Blake Fielder-Civil’s Family

Blake Fielder-Civil was born into a middle-class English family. Although his parents’ divorced when he was very young, his mother got married for a second time. Through his mother’s remarriage, Blake has two stepbrothers whose identities are currently not known. He reportedly left his family and moved to London when he turned 17. There, he met with his future wife, Amy in the year 2005.

Upon his arrival in London, Blake started working as a video assistant and he participated in several musical projects by known artists. He first met with Amy Winehouse at a bar called The Good Mixer in Camden. Although he was already in a relationship at the time, he instantly fell in love with Amy’s lovely voice. Not long after that, the two decided to hit things off and for the amount of love Amy felt for him, she tattooed his name on her neck.

The couple had a tumultuous relationship and after one year, they broke up after which Amy started dating Alex Clare. The two were together until 2007 when she left him and rekindled her relationship with Blake. Blake and Amy tied the knot on 18th May 2007 and their wedding took place in Miami Beach, Florida. Their union, however, didn’t last for long as it ended in divorce in August 2009.

Subsequently, Amy kicked the bucket in 2011 and her cause of death was given as alcohol poisoning. Her death came as a shock to Blake Fielder-Civil but when he got over it, he went on to marry Sarah Aspin with whom he has two adorable children. He named his daughter Lola “Jade” Fielder-Civil in honor of Amy while his son was named Jack Fielder-Civil. He Used to Be a Drug Addict

If there is one thing that kept Blake and Amy together, that should be their addiction to drugs. Blake Fielder-Civil has been involved in lots of controversies as a result of his drug addictions. During an interview, he once revealed that he introduced Amy to hard drugs like crack cocaine and heroin. At some point, he sold his wife’s nude photos in exchange for heroin. Although he said he now regrets his actions, many of Amy’s fans still hold him accountable for being the cause of her death.
