Since the Jolie-Pitt union was formed, the power couple have continuously remained relevant for a number of varying issues it is almost hard to keep up. From the topic of Brad Pitt’s children with his spouse to their fidelity, the family has certainly kept us on our toes waiting for more information. Since they intrigue us this much, we might as well meet them.

Brad Pitt’s Children

We could also call them Angelina Jolie’s children, but ‘potatoe, poh-tah-to’. The couple share 6 children. Before she started dating her fellow movie star, Jolie already had adopted children. The couple have three biological children, but consider all of them as their own; Pitt has even legally adopted the kids she had before their union.

The first of the sextet is Maddox Chivan. He was born August 5, 2001, in Cambodia and luckily for him, adopted on March 10, 2002, by Angelina Jolie. His birth name was Rath Vibol, as much as we respect his heritage, we can’t help thanking God that his name is now Maddox. His parents describe him as a professional big brother and a real intellectual.

The apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree, as Maddox is closely following his parent’s footsteps in the movie industry. Maddox appeared in his father’s movie,World War Z and will be getting in touch with his roots in a movie directed by his mother about Cambodia.

Known for her famous paparazzi death stare, Zahara Marley, formerly Teena Adam, was adopted by Angelina Jolie on July 6, 2005. The baby girl was born in Ethiopia on January 8, 2005. She almost did not make it past infancy, and at some point rumors were flying around that she had AIDS. Apparently it was ‘just’ malnutrition, dehydration, and salmonella poisoning, slow your horses people.

She has been described by her mother as maternal and girly, all we know for sure is that girl packs a mean death stare.

Two years later, a Vietnamese baby, found his way into the heart and home of Angelina Jolie. Pax Thien was born on November 29, 2003, and adopted on March 15, 2007. Formerly Pham Quang Sang, he is the only member of the Jolie-Pitt gang who was not with them from infancy. As a result he had an intense fear for the paparazzi which was a struggle for him to overcome. His name was given to him by his late maternal grandmother, Marcheline.

If you are in the market for baby names, here’s an idea. His name ‘Pax’ means peaceful and his middle name ‘Thien’ is of Vietnamese origin and translates to ‘sky’, so his name means ‘peaceful sky’.

The couple welcomed their first biological child on May 27, 2006, Shiloh Baptist is somewhat a tomboy and it’s expressed vividly in her choice of dressing and her boyish haircuts. She was in fact born in Namibia away from the paparazzi and the limelight. The Jolie-Pitt’s made a whopping $7.5 million off the newborn’s pictures and donated the sum to undisclosed charities. That amount makes us sweaty!

The ten year old prefers to be addressed as ‘John’ or ‘Peter’ and her parents support her in her journey of gender exploration. She was but a wee baby when her older brother, Pax, was adopted, the two have since become quite the explosive duo, Jolie often jokes that they are ‘payback’ for what she put her own mother through when she was young.

Thereafter the twins,  Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline were born on July 12, 2008. Knox is said to be a lot like his father, often dressing like him and sporting the same accessories. Vivienne on the other hand is the embodiment of all things girly, she loves ‘pink and princesses’. She definitely already has an affinity for acting and has starred alongside her mother in ‘Maleficent’ as the child version of Princess Aurora AKA Sleeping Beauty.

That sums it all up, Brad Pitt’s children are as different as their various descents, rumor has it that there will soon be an addition of a young Syrian boy to the Jolie-Pitt clan. It would be the Von Trapp family all over again, without the singing, or the… OK that was a bad metaphor.

Brad Pitt’s Wife

With the exception of people who are yet to be born, there is no one who has not heard of Angelina Jolie. She first donned our screens in 1982 as a child, alongside her father, Jon Voight in the movie, Lookin To Get Out. It was her appearance in the on-screen adaptation of the video game Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), that really put her out there. Since then, everything she touches turns to gold.

In addition to her acting career, she is also deeply engrossed in humanitarian work, she is a United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) Ambassador and has gone on over 40 field missions. She also spurred the , after she openly discussed her mastectomy and oophorectomy, with the aim of helping women make healthy choices.

She is certainly a force to reckon with. Her relationship with Brad Pitt started over a decade ago, and though they are constantly amid rumors of divorce, the couple are still waxing strong.
