When she was born on the 8th of July, 1986, in Yorba Linda, California, Brittany became a part of National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) drag racing dynasty. She was born to Laurie Force and John Force, a father who is a drag racing legend and had won the NHRA Championship 16 times. He retired from that and established his own racing team, John Force Racing that has also won the championship 18 times.

Her sister, Ashley Force Hood, who was already a driver and member of John Force Racing, and had made significant achievements like becoming the first woman to win Top Fuel Funny Car, announced her retirement from the sport, leaving a space in the team. This was the unplanned opportunity that gave Brittany her chance to become a professional race in the NHRA.

She made her debut in 2013, under her father’s guidance and the team fielded a Top Fuel dragster, with Brittany behind the wheel – which was an unprecedented feat for the racing team. Brittany’s entry into the sport may have been a fluke, but her talent wasn’t. After three years of finding her feet in the sport, she became the first woman to win the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, announcing her arrival at the top of the sport.

Brittany Force wasn’t done with her exploits at all. In 2016, she followed her Four-Wide win up with a new NHRA top fuel drag racing record, finishing at a run of 3.676 seconds in over 1000 feet. The remarkable feat was achieved at the Heartland Park Topeka venue of NHRA racing in Kansas.

When the new year 2017 rolled in, she was not done living up to her family name and writing her own name in the indelible ink of Drag Racing. She became the second woman in history to win a Top Fuel Championship. The feat had not been achieved since 1982 when Shirley Muldowney won the coveted trophy. In the same season, Brittany established her dominance by winning four races, winning three of them in her run to the championship.

Her talent and achievements have attracted international brands like Monster Energy to the Drag Racing star for sponsorship. She is also signed onto John Force Racing which is sponsored by Chevrolet and Peak Antifreeze. She is currently recovering from a crash she had in 2018.
