Caitriona Perry was born on the 15th day of October 1980 and her birth took place in Rathmines, Dublin, Ireland. The journalist possesses Irish nationality and ethnicity. She grew up along with her siblings in Knocklyon neighborhood. She developed an interest in becoming a journalist from a very young age and this led her to enroll at the Dublin City University where she acquired a journalism degree in 2002.

After her graduation, the journalist would later come back to her alma mater for her masters in International Relations which she got in 2010.

Caitriona Perry began her journalism career soon after her graduation in 2002. She got her first gig with a Dublin-based radio station called News Talk 106. After working there for a few years, she also worked with other stations including Newstalk and Today FM, before landing her first role with a mainstream network, RTE Network in 2007. Becoming the network’s Washington Correspondent, Caitriona Perry brought live coverage of several international breaking and trending news stories both in America and beyond.

She came into the limelight in 2016 following her jaw-dropping performance while covering the 2016 US Election.
