Chrissy Teigen was born Christine Diane Teigen to Vilailuck and Ron Teigen Sr., on November 30, 1985, in Delta, Utah, United States. Her father, who worked as an electrician, is Norwegian-American while her mother is from Thailand.

Teigen’s family moved around a lot when she was young. They spent time in Utah, Idaho, and Hawaii, however, most of her childhood was spent in Seattle, Washington before the family moved to Huntington, California where they eventually settled down. She first attended Snohomish High School after which she transferred to Huntington Beach High School.

Like every other person, Teigen took a job at a surf shop to make ends meet. She has said that she never harbored any hopes of becoming a model but rather saw herself doing something in line with food like becoming a cook or even a teacher.
