If there is a list of action movie stars with skill and talent, the list won’t be complete without mentioning Chuck Norris. He is an iconic actor who has gone far in the industry with his great martial arts and acting skills in martial arts and has kept us entertained.

Carlos Ray Norris popularly known as Chuck Norris was born on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma. His parents were Ray Morris and Wilma Scarberry. His father was a mechanic and a driver who fought in the Second World War for the US Army. At the age of twelve, he moved to Prairie Village, Kansas and later on to Torrance in California along with his younger brothers (Wieland and Aaron) and their mother. His parents got divorced when he was sixteen, and the responsibility of helping his mother cater for his siblings fell on him.

He schooled at North Torrance High School and graduated in 1958. His interest in martial art began when he was sent to Osan Air Base in South Korea as an Air Policeman when he joined the US Airforce in 1958; while in South Korea, he trained in Tang Soo Do and went further to learn other aspects of martial arts. He left the force in 1962.

After his service in the Airforce, with the pieces of training he got, he went into martial art competitions and, at first he wasn’t as victorious as he would have wanted to but as time went on he became almost unbeatable and also won awards. He also got the award for fighter of the year. His love for martial art led him to opening schools where people were trained to learn the art.

He is also a great philanthropist who has contributed a lot to the society. His major aim for having martial art school is to help boost the self-esteem of children so as not to get involved in any ill activities such as drugs and others.

His other philanthropic act are his supports for several foundations such as Make A-Wish Foundation, Vijay Amritraj Foundation, an Indian foundation that gives hope to innocent defenseless children who are faced with ill circumstances and tragedy. He also contributes to missions and several institutions.

In 1958, at the age of 18, Chuck Norris got married to Dianne Kay Holechek, his 17-year old classmate from North Torrance High School whom he met in 1956. They had a son together, Mike who was born in 1962. While still married to his wife he had an affair that produced his daughter in 1963. Erica born in 1964 is the second child he had with his wife. They stayed as long as thirty years after which they got separated in 1988, which finally led to a divorce in 1989.

He remarried in 1998, toa younger who was a model; Chuck Norris is twenty-three years younger than Gena and they have twins together, who were born on August 30, 2001. Gena also has two children from her previous marriage.

Chuck Norris although now advanced in age and no longer as strong and active as he was, which is expected as he has been in the industry for a long time and has done such great work there. But he is still in the industry working on projects. As per 2018, he is still doing commercials for companies and products. This great actor might not be doing much acting now but we are confident that his works will always be heard of, and won’t be forgotten for many more years to come.

There have been rumors going around that the Walker, Texas Ranger actor is dead, but this rumor is totally false because as of the time of this article, he is still hale and hearty and we are not willing to lose him any time soon.
