Ciara Renée was born Ciara Renée Harper, on October 19, 1990, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she was also raised. She prides herself in being multiracial, and in different instances has referred to herself as white, native American, Indian and black. One of the controversial issues with this actress is her ethnicity as she gives different answers to this question at different times.

Her mother is known to be Hispanic – according to Renée in one of the interviews – which further sustains her claim to multi-ethnicity which she seems to be very proud of.

She schooled at Central Dauphin East High School and went to Baldwin Wallace University where she studied Music Theatre and graduated in 2013. Ciara Renée is an American actress and musician who has an amazing voice and that favors her in the industry- handing her the advantage of being chosen to play roles in musical movies.

Her career in acting started in 2013, where she was featured in the musical Big Fish at the Neil Simon Theater. In 2014, she played the lead role in the award-winning Broadway musical play Pippin, a role that was previously played by Patina Miller. That same year she made an appearance in Law and Order: Special Victim Unit. She also starred in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a Disney animated film.

Starting from 2015, she played the role of Kendra Saunders also called Hawkgirl in three different television series, which are; The Flash (2015), Arrow (2015), and Legends of Tomorrow (2016). Her other film roles and performances include; Tick, Tick Boom (2016), Master of None (2017), Jesus Christ Superstar in 2017, where she played the role of Mary Magdalene. Ciara Renée has her own production which is currently working on Anything But Love, a musical that she wrote alongside Arielle O’Keefe and Arianna Taxman.

Ciara was raised by her mother Tanya Van Hove, who is a single mother and who singlehandedly raise her along with her elder brother. Although there are just a few details concerning her family, her mother is her only known parent as she never talks about her father thereby there is no information available concerning him.

This actress and singer is quite secretive when it comes to her personal life. Unlike so many celebrities, she hasn’t been involved with anyone in the industry and for all we know, outside the industry as well.

Just like many of her counterparts, she has been rumored to have been involved with some of her co-stars but according to her, these rumors are false as she isn’t known to have dated or presently dating anyone at the moment. She is also not married at the moment and any rumor saying otherwise is false.
