Connor, who was drafted into the National Football league in the fourth round of the 2016 draft by the Oakland Raiders football team has been described by fans as the next superstar player of the NLF. Initially, the rising star served as the third-string backup to Matt McGloin and but when both players sustained injuries, he had the opportunity of playing in his first NFL game in the Raiders’ last regular season game during the 2016 NFL season. Sequel to this, the young star was named the starter for the Raiders’ playoff game against the Houston Texans and eventually, he made the record as the first quarterback in the history of the NFL to make his first career start in a playoff game

Connor Cook: Biography

The 6 feet four inches tall football player was born in Hinckley, Ohio on the 29th day of January 1993 to father Chris Cook, a former football player and mother Donna Cook who was active as a basketball player at Cincinnati. Connor was born under the zodiac sign of Aquarius and is of white ethnicity. He was brought up in his hometown of Ohio, alongside his sister Jackie who is a former basketball player for the Old Dominion basketball team.

The American quarterback for the Oakland Raiders owes his high school education to Walsh Jesuit High School located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where he bagged the ranking of the nation’s 13th best quarterback recruit by Rivals.com. After his graduation from high school, Connor Cook got admitted into Michigan State in the year 2011 and his college football records at the university have been described as outstanding.

He was drafted in the 2016 NFL Draft – Round: 4 / 100th pick by the Oakland Raiders. Come May 9, 2016, Connor Cook signed a $2.95 million contract to last for 4 years which came with a $619,890 signing bonus. He saw his first football league action on 20017 new year day in a match against the Denver Broncos which they lost by 24-6. Connor has been with the team since then working hard to make it to the top of his game.

Sister, Dad and Family Life of The NFL Quarterback

Connor Cook did not just come across his football talent, he inherited it from his dad – Chris Cook. Chris was an active footballer for the Indiana Hoosiers football team from 1982-1984. He was recruited by Lee Corso out of Carmel but managed to play for only one season before he was fired by the Hoosiers. In 1983, Chris played under the supervision of Sam Wyche before joining the Cincinnati Bengals.

Sad to note that Chris recorded a losing effect from all the three seasons he was active in college but 30 years after his stint with Indiana Hoosiers football team, he sat and watched his son Connor Cook play against his alma mater. The elderly Cook did not even think twice about who he would be rooting for, according to him, the Indiana team is just another opponent and having his son against them is a different ball game. Chris graduated with a degree in public affairs from Indiana and currently earns a living at Bosch Rexroth as a District Sales Manager.

We are definitely not counting out Connor’s mother Donna Cook from the athletic talent pool. Donna was played basketball at Cincinnati and it is safe to believe that her athletic nature also rubbed off on her son. Let’s not forget about Connor’s sister Jackie Cook, a standout in basketball throughout her college years, competing for the Old Dominion basketball team.

She belonged to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes while in college, lent her services to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as well as the Fox News University College Challenge. Jackie graduated in 2013 with a degree in communications and worked as an inside sales representative and regional sales representative at Moen Inc. In December 2014, she accepted a job in San Diego as a territory manager. Presently, Jackie likes traveling and chilling out in swimsuits with friends on the beach.

She classifies herself as “retired” on her Instagram page but she is definitely not tired as she grabs every opportunity to party up a storm with her friends. While Connor followed in his father’s footsteps to play football, Jackie chose their mother’s path which saw her excel in basketball in college.
