Cooper Kupp is the third generation Kupp to make it into the National Football League (NFL). His grandfather, Jake, was drafted as the 116th overall, his father, Craig, made it into the league as the 135th overall while Cooper got recognized as an NFL player as the 69th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft to continue the family legacy.

Cooper Kupp’s Bio

Cooper Douglas Kupp was born to former NFL quarterback, Craig Kupp and his wife, Karin Kupp (a personal trainer and former soccer player at Pacific Lutheran University) in Yakima, Washington. He has as his brother, Ketner Kupp with whom he attended Davis High School in Yakima, Washington where he played both football and basketball.

Football would, however, take the greater part of his time as he focused more on the grid game playing either as a defensive back or wide receiver for the Davis Pirates. Cooper recorded a total of 110 catches for 2,100 yards in his prep career for which he got recognized as a two-way All-State selection, first team 4A All-State honors as a defensive back and one of the top 100 prospects in Washington.

For college, Cooper Kupp enrolled at the Eastern Washington University in 2012 to study economics. He also played football for the Eastern Washington Eagles football team under coach Beau Baldwin. Beginning his college career, Kupp was redshirted in his freshman year but by the time he began starting games in 2013 through 2016, the kid showed just how talented he was with the ball, breaking and setting numerous team and national records.

He played a total of 52 college games from which he had a record-breaking 6,464 rushing yards, a receiving yard average of 125.7, 428 receptions, and 73 touchdowns. Some of his college laurels include Jerry Rice Award (2013), Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year (2013), Third-team All-Big Sky Conference Punt Returner (2014), Second-team Division I Academic All-American (CoSIDA) (2014), 2x Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Year (2015–16) and 4x First-team FCS All-American (AFCA, AP, STATS) (2013–16).

NFL Career 

The football whizkid entered the NFL in the third round as the 69th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft picked by the Los Angeles Rams. This made him the second highest Eastern Washington student to enter the draft behind Michael Roos who was picked as the 41st overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2005 NFL Draft.

His rookie contract was a four-year deal worth $3.83 million with a signing bonus of $954,760. Joining the Rams, he was named the fourth wide receiver behind his better-rated teammates; , Robert Woods, and . Kupp has played 15 games in the regular season from which he started 6. So far, the young wide receiver has recorded 62 receptions for 869 yards with 5 touchdowns. As he plays out his career with The Mob Squad and subsequently other teams he joins, Cooper Kupp has every reason to make it to the top of the league.

Family and Wife

He comes from a family of footballers and is sure doing well keeping the family legacy alive.

Cooper’s grandfather, Jake Kupp played in college for the University of Washington as an offensive lineman, he entered the NFL as the 116th overall in the 9th round of the 1964 NFL Draft when he was picked by the Dallas Cowboys. His time in the league saw him play for the Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, and lastly the New Orleans Saints after which he was inducted to their hall of fame in 1991.

His son and Cooper’s father, Craig Kupp also took after the senior Kupp. He played college football at Montana Tech and Pacific Lutheran University before he emerged as a 5th round 135th overall pick in the 1990 NFL Draft for the New York Giants. He would then later play for Phoenix Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys.

The youngest Kupp has begun a family of his own, he is married to Anna Kupp. She was formerly Anna Marie Croskrey after she was born on March 22, 1994, Kennewick, Washington. We obtained the names of her parents to be Nathan and Veronica Croskrey who also had three other children in the family; boys – Matthew and Aaron and a girl named Sarah.

They enrolled Anna at Richland High School in Richland where she graduated from in 2012 before proceeding to the Eastern Washington University to study public relations. In her high school days, she participated in track & field events just like her now husband.


It was in the course of living out their athletic lives that the two met on one occasion when Anna was to give Cooper a medal for a track and field event he won. The attraction between them was instantaneous and it continued from then on till college as they were true to each other. In the spring of 2014, the wide receiver engaged the belle and come June 20, 2015, they were pronounced husband and wife. The couple has it as their onus to raise up the next generation of the Kupp’s and following the birth of their son, Cooper Jameson Kupp as announced on , they are set on the right track.

Height, Weight

Cooper Kupp, the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver stands at a height of 6 feet 1 inch or 1.85 m. At this height, he weighs 208 lbs or 94 kg which is a slight increase from the 204 lbs (93 kg) he weighed in his pre drafts. Kupp has an arm length of 31½ in (0.80 m) which is just apt for his hand which measures 9½ in (0.24 m).
