Craig was known as one of America’s talented singers. He began singing at an early age in Toronto where he moved with his parents at the age of three. During his high school days, he was famous for being part of his school’s cover bands and in 2007, he formed a new band called “We Are The Take” with his friend Erik Alcock. Together, they recorded what would have been their debut album with Grammy-award winning producer David Bottrill. The band, however, they broke apart at the end of 2010, making Craig focus on his career as a solo artist.

Craig Strickland had a very successful career as a solo artist, singing with most veteran artists and music managers such as Chris Smith of 21 Music. His musical works were often featured on national and international campaigns such as McDonald’s, Tim Horton’s and Muller Yogurt. In addition, Craig appeared in a number of movies and Television shows some of which include Being EricaScott Pilgrim vs. The World, and Lost Girl and Degrassi: The Next Generation. Aside from being a great guitarist, Craig is also good at playing the piano and Bass Trumpet.

He formed the new band Backroad Anthem in 2012, in a local church at his hometown in Arkansas. Among those who joined him in forming the new music band were Toby Freeman, Eric Dysart, Brandon Robold, Josh Bryant, and Isaac Senty. They even released their first EP Small Town Fame, on May 13, 2013, and it reached #24 on the iTunes Top Country Music chart.

Cause of Death Revealed: How Craig Strickland Died

Craig’s death news was tragic and shocking to his family and fans. He was declared missing alongside his friend Chase Morland who went with him on animal hunting on December 27th, 2015 during winter storm Goliath. Prior to the search, Morland who worked at Gellco Outdoors, which sells hunting rifles and gear, dropped a terrifying note on his Twitter handle indicating that they were going on a duck-hunting trip in Oklahoma and saying in case we never returned.

A couple of days later, a search team was sent out and the two were found dead after their boat capsized in Oklahoma during the winter storm. Craig’s body was found on January 4. The corpses were seen clad in their hunting uniforms. His wife who had been praying for his return and updating fans on news about his search, later confirmed that he has been found and even went ahead to thank the fans for supporting her all through the time.

On her Instagram page, she described her husband’s last moment, saying that he died as a result series of hypothermia he experienced. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s office also confirmed it, showing his autopsy report. The office also stated that Craig’s death is listed as an accident. Helen, on the other hand, concluded by saying that she was sure he had gone to be with his father in Heaven. She also posted a video that her late husband had made for her on the day of their wedding.
