She was born on March 6, 1993, in Florida into a large family of nine. She was raised in Compton, Southern Los Angeles, California.

Crystal Westbrooks attended Ambler Avenue Elementary School, Carson California and went on to Santiago High School, Corona, California where she graduated from in 2011. While she was in high school, Crystal competed in cross-country track and was a cheerleader. She enroled at Texas Southern University (TSU), Houston Texas where she majored in business finance and graduated in 2016.

Crystal, with a naturally beautiful face and fine features, she was motivated by her younger sister, India who was already a gram star by posting her pictures, to start posting her own pictures on Tumblr, though randomly. In no time, she caught the attention of many internet users, gathering a number of followers and eventually became a celebrity. With her stardom on social media, modeling opportunities opened up and she started scoring contracts.
