Daniel Kaluuya is a British actor and writer who meteorically rose to prominence and became extremely successful in the American movie industry after taking up a lead role in the critically acclaimed movie Get Out. Before making Get Out list, Kaluuya was majorly seen in American television shows and improvisational theatre (a form of comedy, in which most or all of what is performed is unplanned or unscripted).
The breakout star began his acting career at the age of 16 when he starred in the British TV series Shoot the Messenger. He subsequently appeared in several notable TV series and shows including Silent Witness, the Doctor Who special “Planet of the Dead”, Lewis, That Mitchell and Webb Look and Harry and Paul, and Skins – a viral British teen drama.
Kaluuya, in 2009, portrayed the character ‘Michael “Tea Leaf” Fry’ in the BBC psychological horror, Psychoville, which aired for two years until 2013. He also acted as a voice actor in the BBC Radio 4 sitcom, Sneakiepeeks.
Among his many roles on American television shows, the A-lister considers the play Sucker Punch (which earned him the Evening Standard Award and the Critics’ Circle Theater Award) to be his breakthrough act.
Named as one of the breakthrough entertainers of 2017 by The Association Press, Kaluuya landed a supporting role in Disney-Marvel’s superhero movie Black Panther, produced by Marvel Studios, directed by Ryan Coogler, and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The much-anticipated American film is based on the Marvel Comics book series.
He also co-starred in America’s heist thriller film Widows, whose producers are McQueen, Iain Canning and Emile Sherman of See-Saw Films. The film Widows, tells the story of a failed heist attempt that ended up killing all four men who masterminded it.

The Hollywood star identified with his parental home (Uganda) at 15 when he finally embraced his roots and ancestry.
