Danny Trevathan has made the headlines many times for good reasons, not so good and as at the time of writing this piece, just one play (reason). The epic day was in a game against the Baltimore Ravens when he was playing for the Denver Broncos in week 1 of the 2013 season, Danny picked off in the fourth quarter from a beautiful play only for him to drop the ball before the touchline, all in a haste for a stylish touchdown celebration which he regretted just a few seconds later. Well, the events of that game and possibly that season are all in the past, but we can’t help but remember him when the likes of DeSean Jackson and Leon Lett are mentioned for reasons you can easily infer (most embarrassing plays in the NFL).
Moving away from the bad media, there is a whole lot of good that has happened in this young man’s life and his football career, without leaving out his love and relationship life. Here, you will learn all about it in addition to knowing him better like he told you his story himself.
Early Life and Career
Danny was named Daniel Eugene Trevathan after he was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 24, in the year 1990 to Vincent Hicks and Michelle Hicks. His father was a sportsman who played football in college for the University of Toledo.
Growing up, the Youngstown kid schooled at Leesburg High School in Leesburg, Florida where he quickly took a liking to and played American football. He was famed among his peers for his spectacular style of play and unique ability to turn around a game for good for his side. Coming out of high school, Danny enrolled at the University of Kentucky and improved his game the more, playing for the varsity football team.
He led the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in 2010 with 144 tackles and was well en route to being named a first-team all-conference by a couple of organizations, including the SEC coaches. He led the SEC again in most tackles in his final year in college which saw him recognized with a top honour of a college football linebacker.
Danny Trevathan found his way into the National Football League (NFL) as the 25th linebacker (188th overall) selected in the 6th round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He made his pro debut in the Broncos season opening 31-19 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Danny recorded his first career tackle when he charged against Oakland Raiders running back Mike Goodson in the fourth quarter in their 37–6 win over them. Following a rookie season of firsts, he had his first career sack on Cincinnati Bengals’ in their 31–23 victory over them and overall finished his rookie season with 33 combined tackles (22 solo), 3 pass deflections, and a sack in 26 games and 16 starts.
Trevathan had a good time with the Broncos throughout his stay with them before he left by the end of 2015. Following his departure from the club, he became a free agent and later signed with the Chicago Bears on March 9, 2016, and has been with the side since then.
He joined “The Monsters of the Midway” for a four-year contract worth $28 million which includes a guaranteed sum of $12 million with its signing bonus of $5 million.
Danny Trevathan’s Wife, Girlfriend
When it comes to love and relationships, Danny ain’t searching no more, the Bears linebacker has got for himself a girlfriend; a lady who he met right from college when he was still building up his game.
The lucky lady is LaToria Burns who is originally from Jackson, Mississippi. She is the daughter of Vicky Burns and in November 2013 she became a mom herself as she bore to her man, a baby girl named Danoir Louise Trevathan who has bound them together deeper in love more than you can ever imagine.
They are not yet married, so, some people might not call her by the wife title. However, their relationship has been blossoming since it started and when it is time to walk down the aisle, they would know what to do.

The is a befitting family home which he chose after taking a look at 35 others which didn’t impress him.
