David Arquette is an actor, a professional wrestler, film director, producer, and a lot of other things. A part of the Arquette family which has become very famous in the entertainment business, he first began his career in the 1990s and has since then, remained a strong force on the screen while he tries to find his way around the ring.
David Arquette Biography, Age
On September 8, 1971, in Bentonville, Virginia, David Arquette was born to Brenda Olivia and Cliff Arquette. Raised as the youngest of five kids, it was obvious that he was cut for entertainment considering that his mother was a poet and acting teacher while his father was a film actor and producer.
For his education, David went to Mid-City Alternative High School in Los Angeles and from there, he later enrolled and studied at the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies.
Following the same path as most of his family members, David began acting in 1991 when he got a role in Where the Day Takes You. The next year, he appeared in Halfway House followed by Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Cruel Doubt all in 1992. By 2018 when he appeared in Survivors Guide to Prison and High Voltage, he had already appeared in close to 70 movies including Scream 2 (1998) and Never Been Kissed (2010).
Apart from the movies, he has also had television appearances in productions such as The Outsiders (1990), Parenthood (1990 to 1991), Pelswick (2000 to 2002), and In Case of Emergency (2007).
In 2000, David Arquette began his wrestling career when he was introduced in the WCW storylines. It was until 2010 that he made his World Wrestling Entertainment debut in a handicap match that he lost to . In 2018, he decided that he wanted to make a name for himself in the world professional wrestling and so he was back to the ring, fighting in the Championship Wrestling from Hollywood (CWFH). Unfortunately, he lost his debut fight to RJ City.
In wrestling, he has recorded a few accomplishments including winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, the Gooker Award in 2000, and he was named the Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic in 2000 by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Family – His Sister, Brother, and Wife
As already stated, the actor was raised with four siblings, Patricia Arquette, , Rosanna Arquette, and his only brother, Richmond Arquette. Their family was not the most stable because of their father’s substance abuse issues. Unfortunately for David Arquette, he lost his mother in 1997 to breast cancer.
The next time that tragedy would strike was in 2016 when he lost his sister, Alexis Arquette who was also an actress. Alexis died at the age of 47 due to HIV-related cardiac arrest.
On a personal note, the actor has been married twice thus far. His first marriage was unsurprising to an actress, in 1999. Although the union was blessed with a daughter, Coco Riley Arquette who was born in 2004, it was not one to last forever as the couple announced they were separating in 2010. According to reports, the actor had begged Cox to get back with him, but she was already fed up with his ways and did not want to be his “mother” anymore.
After close to 2 years of separation, David filed for a divorce in 2012 and by 2013, it was finalized. Even before filing for the divorce, the actor had already started a relationship with Christina McLarty in 2011 and in 2014, she gave birth to their first child together; a son. The two got engaged in the same year and in 2015, they got married. The union got blessed with another son in 2017.
