Following his death, the zookeeper, conservationist and television personality left behind his wife, Terri Irwin and two kids. What was very well known about Steve and Terri was their happy and loving relationship, and this has got people asking if she has got love again since the passage of her husband.

Terri Irwin’s Bio

She was born Terri Raines on July 20, 1964, in Eugene, Oregon. She was brought up alongside her two sisters in Canada by their parents, environmentalist and wildlife-ardent, Clarence and Judy Raines.

As a little girl, she came to love animals as her father always brought home injured animals which the family tended after. This would go on to draw her into starting a rehabilitation center for animals. Meeting Steve became another thing that pulled her even closer to the wildlife.

She appeared on many animal documentaries such as The Crocodile Hunter, Croc Files, The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course, The Wiggles: Wiggly Safari, Eco-Pirate: The Story of Paul Watson, and Kangaroo among others.

On November 15, 2009, Terri Irwin became an Australian Citizen in honor of her husband. Even before then, she was made an Honorary Member of the Order of Australia in 2006.

Husband And Children

The first time Terri saw Steve Irwin was in 1991 when she was in Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park when she was on a holiday in Australia. When she saw Steve, he was in khakis talking with passion about crocodiles. Realizing that they both shared a passion for wildlife, she introduced herself to him and in time, they began dating.

Eight months after they first met, the couple which were madly in love decided to make it official by becoming husband and wife on 4 June 1992 in Oregon. When he first proposed to her, Terri revealed that there were many reasons in her head as to why they should not get married, but there was something even deeper in her that couldn’t but say yes.

Their union was blessed with two children, Robert Irwin and Bindi Irwin. Both Robert who was born in 2003 and Bindi who was born in 1998 are now actors. More so, the two of them did not stray too far from what their parents had been involved in as they have been involved in different wildlife TV shows.

In 2006 while working on the production of the documentary show Ocean’s Deadliest, Steve decided to get footage for his daughter’s Bindi the Jungle Girl television programme. He sighted a stingray which he decided to film it as it swam away. Unfortunately, the stingray used its tail to attack Steve violently over a hundred times. Although he was thought to have only had a punctured lung, it turned out that it also punctured his heart, leading him to bleed to death by the time he was rushed for medical assistance.

The big question that many have been asking is whether Terri has come to marry any other person since losing her husband. Interestingly enough, she has not gotten married, hence, there is no new husband.

When Steve Irwin died, their children were then only eight and two, as such her first problem was how to come to terms with the loss and help her children to do same, even as she revealed that Robert would sit in the bathtub crying that all he wanted was his dad. There was also a lot of work for her to do and keep up with the legacy of her husband.

Before now, there have been some online sources alleging that the was in a relationship with film producer and actor, . Nonetheless, there is no truth to that as she has revealed that she has already had her happily ever after with Steve. Terri has not dated anyone since her husband died. According to her, although she believes that it is good for people that have lost loved ones to find love again, she is contented with what she had as well as her two kids.
