Jamie Foxx’s Bio

He was born in Terrell, Texas, in the United States of America on December 13, 1967. His father Darrell Bishop worked as a stockbroker and his mother is Louise Annette Tally Dixon. Jamie didn’t have a wonderful childhood experience following his parent’s divorce shortly after his birth. He was raised by his mother’s adopted parents Esther Marie and Mark Talley. At the age of five, Jamie began playing the piano and eventually served as a part-time pianist and choir leader at Terrell’s New Hope Baptist Church.

Jamie Foxx went to Terrell High School where he emerged as one of the best graduating students of his set. While at Terrell, he told jokes, sang with the school band, and also played basketball as well as football. For the records, he was one of the best quarterbacks for his school at the time. He released his first album titled Peep This in 1994, played a role in Oliver Stone’s film Any Given Sunday in 1999 and also starred in the 2001 Michael Mann’s television drama titled Ali.

Furthermore, Foxx got his breakthrough in 2004, following his brilliant performance in the movie Collateral. He starred alongside in the blockbuster movie which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
