This artist has been in the spotlight for a number of years for some of the weirdest reasons possible. Lady Gaga has done it all, from having her urine turned into perfume to dressing up as food on more than one occasion. Well the answer is a wee bit complicated, the star was dating the Vampire Diaries actor, Taylor Kinney. In fact the couple had been together for five years and were engaged to be married, but somewhere along the line, something went wrong.

The two met in 2011 and for the most part of it they kept their relationship on the down low. So how did they meet? Well, Lady Gaga took a page out of Shakira’s book and hooked up with her hot famous video candy. They were introduced when she was filming the video for her music video ‘You and I’.

It wasn’t too long after that the rumors of their hook up began to spread like wild fire. The funny part about their meeting was that, the video was about her ex beau, Luc Carl. Bustle.com described their meeting as an ‘artistic catharsis which took the place of any the conversation about “exes” that a new couple would usually have.’

After that they started showing up at places TOGETHER, for instance they were photographed by paparazzi out and about together in the winter of 2011, but they still kept what they could to themselves. Sometimes the media got lucky enough to catch them in a lovey dovey mood and they would give a little insight into their relationship.

The big news of their engagement came out on February 16th, 2015, via an Instagram post. The announcement was just as dramatic as Gaga herself. Along with a photo of her heart-shaped diamond ring, she captioned the Instagram message to her fans, ‘He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day, and I said YES!’

In July 2016, after five years of being together, the couple shocked the world when speculations of their break up were confirmed. No one saw it coming and no one wanted to, but it happened. More recently, there have been rumors that the couple is getting back together but till they both come out and say something, we can’t know for sure.

Back when she was still Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, Gaga was allegedly involved with a record producer, Rob Fusari. It’s a typical story in Hollywood, guy ‘helps’ girl get famous, girl gets famous and guy tries to cash in. In 2010 he tried to sue her for £20 million, claiming he co-wrote some of her most popular hits and even chose her stage name.

Well now we all know why they aren’t still together. After that came the infamous Luc Carl who was apparently no better than the last guy. They had an on and off relationship that began in 2005 and finally crashed and burned in 2011. Wow! That was a long time.

Apparently, he couldn’t adjust to her lifestyle of fame and later on he just couldn’t stick to one woman. Next was the entrepreneur Speedy who she met in 2009 on the set of her video Love Game. Their romance did not last more than a year and apparently it had something to do with her infidelity.

Then came Matthew ‘Dada’ Williams, the creative director of Haus of Gaga. The relationship was apparently also going on in 2009 and ended the next year. Here is what the singer said about it, ‘Dada is quite brilliant and we were crazy lovers, but I stopped it when we discovered what a strong creative connection we had. I didn’t want it just to be about careless love.’
