The first time we got a look into the life of Elisabeth Hasselbeck was in 2001 when she appeared as a cast of Survivor: The Australian Outback. Although she didn’t get to win the competition, the TV personality rose from the platform to appear on The View and many other things until she took a break in 2015. Here is all to know about her.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s Biography
She was born Elisabeth DelPadre Filarski on May 28, 1977, in Cranston, Rhode Island the United States. Of Polish and Italian descent, she was brought up alongside a brother by their parents, Elisabeth DelPadre and architect Kenneth Filarski.
From a practicing Roman Catholic family, she had her education at the St. Mary School in Cranston before moving to the St. Mary Academy – Bay View from where she graduated. Next, she went to the Boston College and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. While she was still a student, she took to sports and painting. While still there, she got to start working for puma, something she continued even after she graduated.
As stated, she first became known in 2001 for taking a part in Survivor: The Australian Outback but got voted out in the 4th place as the last standing member of her tribe. She would again be invited to take part in the Survivor: All-Stars, but she opted not to.
The next gig that Elisabeth got was as a judge on Miss Teen USA 2001 pageant before hosting The Look for Less on Style Network.
In 2003, she started working on Fox as a replacement for Lisa Ling on The View. She soon gained a reputation for her conservative stance on issues such as abortion as well as her strong Republican politics. For the next 10 years, she remained with The View, until 2013 when she left the show for Fox and Friends. Although many felt she would be very hard to be replaced, rumors had it that she was fired from the show because she was considered too conservative.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck became a co-host of Fox & Friends in September 2013, and before the next three months, she had helped the show to increase its viewership by as much as 9 percent. Nonetheless, she called it quits in 2015, stating that she felt it was time to spend much time with her family.
Husband (Tim), Kids, Family
More than almost any other thing, Elisabeth Hasselbeck places her family as the most important thing to her. She is married to former American football quarterback, Tim Hasselbeck. The duo met when they were both in college and dated until 2002 when they decided to tie the knot as man and wife.
Elisabeth and her husband have been blessed with three kids, a daughter, and two sons. The couples first child, Grace Elisabeth was born in the year 2005 while her siblings, Taylor Thomas and Isaiah Timothy were born in 2007 and 2009 respectively.
Where Is She Now?
There are some stars that come and are always there, and there are some that vanish almost completely when they are done. To the surprise of many, Elisabeth who was once assertive and compelling on her shows is in the second class, and everyone has come to accept that nothing, not even fame lasts forever. The only thing that remains is the question of where she is.
From her controversy with Rosie O’Donnell to her style of news coverage, there are a number of things that could get people believing that she would remain grounded once off the scene, but she is neither out nor grounded. At the moment, she is putting emphasis on her family.
Another thing that she is doing is writing. In May 2018, she signed a book publishing deal for her memoir, Point of View which will be published in the coming spring. Before then, she has also written other works, The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide and Deliciously G-Free: Food So Flavorful They’ll Never Believe It’s Gluten-Free which are both to offer nutritional value.
More so, she is also taking the time to take care of herself as she has been suffering from celiac disease for a very long time. It is one of the things that have got her to write her first two books and the introduction of her gluten-free snacks and supplements, NoGii which she spends her time promoting.
