Emma Willis is a familiar face on television, she is famously known for having hosted Big Brother, Celebrity Big Brother and Big Brother’s Bit on the Side (spin-off) shows to mention just a few. Initially, this media personality started off her career as a model before venturing off on television where she became famous.

The media personality was identified as Emma Louise Griffiths up until her marriage before she now goes by Emma Louise Willis. Her birth took place in Birmingham, West Midlands, England on the 18th of March 1976 to Cathy Griffiths (mother – a theatre assistant) and Steve Griffiths (father – a postman), she has an older sister Sharon and a younger one Rebecca.

Emma Willis schooled at the Wylde Green Primary School and later at John Willmott School in Sutton Coldfield where she graduated. Following her graduation, she ventured into modeling having been spotted by Birmingham model agency at the age of 15. Two years later, she worked with Model One on gigs with a couple of magazines like Marie Claire, Elle, and Vogue as well as retail outfits like GAP and Chanel. There are no records of her time in college or university like it is called in England, the next phase of her life that we got information on was the beginning of her career on television.

In the year 2002, Emma kicked off her burgeoning television career with a job as a presenter on MTV. As she learned the ropes, the former model tried her hands on other shows like Loose Women, CD:UK  and This Morning from which she never got her fingers burnt but rather impressed her employers in no small way.

Five years later in 2007, Emma Willis presented I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW! a spin-off series on ITV2 with her future husband. Between 2008 and 2014, she presented The Hot Desk on ITV2 while earlier in September 2012 the Britton became a permanent presenter on This Morning where she presented segments in The Hub before it was stopped in 2014. In the course of her work with ITV2, she hosted reality shows like Girlfriends in 2012 and 2013, presented television shows like The Paul O’Grady Show (an episode in 2013), What Would Be Your Miracle (2015), The Voice Kids, The BRITs Are Coming, 2017 BRIT Awards (with Dermot O’Leary) and Your Song all in 2017. On the other hand, she also co-presented Prize Island in 2013 with Alexander Armstrong.

In the course of time, Emma was hired by Channel 4 to present Big Brother’s Big Mouth between 2005 and 2010. After that, she began presenting the Celebrity Big Brother online spin-off in 2010. Her career spanned across to Channel 5 when she replaced Melinda Messenger on Live from Studio Five before she left to co-present Big Brother’s Little Brother.

In 2013, she was brought in by BBC to replace Holly Willoughby on the talent show The Voice UK which showed on BBC One. Her career on television continues to surge to greater heights with more roles certainly coming her way in the future.

The following year, the former model and now television personality bore their first child in June 2009, a baby named Isabelle Willis. Two years later, she bore their second child, a son in November 2011 whom they named Ace Willis. The tot then became a brother to their youngest child Trixie Willis who was born in May 2016.
