Peyton Royce’s Bio

Peyton Royce was born on 10 November 1992 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Later on, she would move to Melbourne. She attended the Westfields Sports High School which was located at the outskirts of Sydney. The school is a dedicated sports high school.

Interestingly, wrestling was not always Peyton’s first love. As a youngster, she had set her sights on pursuing a career in dancing. Perhaps, her dancing knowledge is a reason for the flexibility and elegance that has become synonymous with her fighting style. She boasts an impressive array of stylish kicks that blend the ballerina and martial artist.

She began watching wrestling when she was nine years old and was thirteen when she realized that she wanted to become a professional wrestler. Growing up, she was heavily inspired by the legendary Eddie Guerrero.

Miss Peyton ventured into sports-entertainment with NXT Superstar and close friend , training in Sydney, Australia. She moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where she met the iconic Lance Storm. Lance’s tutelage was a big part of her formative training, equipping her with the necessary skill to excel on the big stage.

Peyton joined the Pro Wrestling Women’s Alliance (PWWA), making her wrestling debut on 28 February 2009. She went up against Madison Eagles and Mike Valuable in a mixed tag team match whilst teaming up with Robbie Eagles. Her team went on to win the match. During her time there, she racked up a fair amount of wins and painful losses, unsuccessfully challenging Madison Eagles for the championship. Peyton Royce was with the PWWA for quite a while, and as part of the independent circuit from 2009 to 2015 when she made the leap to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Her WWE Career

Peyton was on a tour of Australia when she received a tryout from the WWE in August 2014. According to her, she cried hysterically when she received the news. By April of 2015, Peyton was announced by the WWE as part of a new set of trainees and was signed to the NXT.

Her in-ring debut was a loss to NXT Women’s Champion . The following week, she was defeated yet again by Eva Marie. On August 7, 2015, she was given the new ring name – Peyton Royce. Prior to that, she was identified as KC Cassidy and Cassie in previous matches.

In October, Peyton formed an alliance with fellow Australian wrestler, Billie Kay. They would later be known as The Iconic Duo. The duo would go on a stint of feuds throughout the women’s division, battling with superstars like Liv Morgan and . Peyton was given title opportunities but was not able to take advantage of it. Nevertheless, she went on to make her first main roster appearance at WrestleMania 34 on April 8, 2018.

Immediately after WrestleMania, Royce and Kay debuted on the blue brand, SmackDown when they attacked the then SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair leaving her in a heap. They were now dubbed The IIconics and they went on to secure their first win on SmackDown against and Asuka. Charlotte would get a measure of revenge later when she defeated Peyton in a qualifying match for the Money in the Bank bout.

1. Her real name is Cassie McIntosh. Peyton Royce was a ring name she adopted when she moved to NXT.

2. She went to the same high school with her IIconics mate, Billie Kay. They both attended Westfield Sports High School.

3. The pair were not the BFF we know them to be today, they actually did not like each other back home in Australia.

4. Peyton is really beautiful and attracts a large male fanbase. She has been in a long-term relationship with fellow WWE superstar Tye Dillinger. They came out publicly in 2017 about their relationship but have maintained a high level of secrecy around their private lives.
