Gabrielle Anwar is an English film and television series actress who is widely known for playing the role of Princess Margaret in the historical television series The Tudors. The Surrey-born actress started her professional career as an actress in the middle of the 1980s with the BBC television series Hideaway. She appeared in Scent of a Woman alongside Al Pacino in 1992 where she played the character of Donna.

Gabrielle was born on the 4th of February, 1970, in Laleham, Middlesex, England. Anwar is of Austrian, Indian and English descent. Her parents Tariq Anwar and Shirley Anwar are also practitioners in the film and television industry as her father, Tariq, is a film producer and editor while her mom, Shirley Anwar, is an actress.

She attended Laleham College of Education Primary and Middle School where she first showed glimpses of her acting talent during a school concert in 1982. After leaving Laleham College of Education Primary and Middle School, she was admitted to Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts to study drama and dance.

Anwar’s television debut was in 1986 when she began to play the role of Tracy Wright in the British TV series, Hideaway. She appeared in several other TV series and films since then such as The Storyteller, Summer’s Lease, A Night of Love, The Mysteries of the Dark Jungle, Press Gang, Flying Virus, If Looks Could Kill, Beverly Hills 90210, Wild Hearts Can’t be Broken, Body Snatchers, John Doe and The Librarian: Return to King Solomon’s Mines among many others. She also appeared in Scent of a Woman alongside in 1992.

Perhaps her most popular role in recent times is her role as Princess Margaret, King Henry the VIII’s sister in the historical television series The Tudors. She appeared in the TV series Burn Notice, playing the role of Fiona Glenanne. She also appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2008.

Gabrielle Anwar has three children. She gave birth to her first child Willow Xylia Anwar on November 8, 1993. She had Willow with her former boyfriend, Craig Sheffer with whom she had been romantically involved since 1988. Sheffer is also an actor and while he was romantically involved with Anwar, they starred in several movies together which include Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal, The Pursuit of Honor, The Grave, Flying Virus, Long Lost Son, Water Under the Bridge and Save it for Later.

Anwar’s first marriage was to film producer and actor, John Verea with whom she had two children. It came after her relationship with Craig Sheffer came to an end. She had her second child, Hugo Verea, in 2001 and her third. Paisley Verea in 2004.

However, the marriage ended in divorce and after a love affair spanning five years. Gabrielle married actor Shareef Malnik on September 6, 2015.
