The Star Died On Christmas Day

Christmas is usually a time of joy and numerous festivities, but on 25th December, 2016, the world received quite a shocker. George Michael supposedly passed away peacefully in his sleep on that fateful day. His body was discovered by his partner Fadi Fawaz, at his home in Goring-On Thames.

It would seem that things were a bit turbulent prior to that as Fawaz said that he had slept in his car the night before and arrived the next day to take George out for lunch, this is how he explained the chain of events. ‘ I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed, everything had been very complicated recently, but George was looking forward to Christmas, and so was I.’

The star was last seen on Christmas eve watching a torchlight procession to the church next door to his home from a window. So far, it has been assumed that there was no foul play involved and his manager revealed in a press release that the cause of death was heart failure.

Prior To George Michael’s Death, He Had His Fair Share Of Health Scares

It may not be quite a shocker that the singer eventually dropped dead, as he had quite the number of health scares leading up to the time of his death. Back in 2011, while in Vienna for his his Symphonica European tour, George was diagnosed with pneumonia and he eventually had to cancel in order to receive treatment.

It was so serious that the star had to get a tracheotomy to save his life, this later sparked rumors that he had HIV, but that was not confirmed. There were also rumors of a serious heroin addiction, an anonymous source revealed to the Telegraph, ‘He’s been rushed to A&E on several occasions. He used heroin. I think it’s amazing he’s lasted as long as he has.’

There was also the issue of him falling out of a car in 2013, that episode landed him in the hospital for two weeks due to a head injury. Although it all seemed very fishy, it was claimed that George, not wearing a seat belt, had fallen out of the car while adjusting the door and the accident had not been pre meditated.

There Are A Couple Of Rumors Surrounding George Michael’s Death

Following a series of suspicious tweets from Fawaz’ timeline on the 26th of December, it was suspected that the star may have taken his own life. It all started out normally as he posted, ‘ Its a Xmas I will never forget finding your partner dead peacefully in bed first thing in the morning.. I will never stop missing you.’ Then it got a tad bit weird five tweets later.

The star’s boyfriend described how he discovered the body and then added that George made several attempts on taking his own life. Though the account was closed down after Fawaz denied sending out those tweets, the seeds had already been planted.

There were also claims that the was a perfectionist and could not live with himself much longer since he had let himself go, leading to him becoming recluse in the final months of his life. Also, he was allegedly scared of what his voice would sound like post tracheotomy, so that ‘must’ have added to his desire to end his life.

All these claims were vehemently denied by his family and his management team.

The Fate Of His Estate

He left behind quite the vast estate, despite his immense generosity towards friends, family and those in need. The star has a £105 million most of which would be left to his his elder sisters Melanie and Yioda. It is assumed that the rest would go to his god children, among who are Geri Halliwell and Martin Kemp, to some extent some people even believe that Fawaz is named in his will, but only time will tell.

What’s The Delay With The Funeral?

It’s been over 2 months since the star gave up the ghost, every one is beginning to wonder what the delay is all about. Apparently, his body has not been released by the coroner until they complete all the toxicology tests. As expected the wait is quite agonizing for his family and loved ones.

Amidst the wait for his funeral, a little family drama has been going on, apparently, George’s cousin, Andros Georgiou made this statement, ‘ Fadi has not been invited to the funeral. He is not welcome, the family hate him, heaven help him if he turned up.’ Fawaz took to Twitter to deny the claim.

‘ Let me make it clear that I’M NOT BANNED TO GO TO THE FUNERAL none of it is true, ITS NOT TRUE, NOT TRUE NOT TRUE NOT TRUE.’ So he will in fact be attending the funeral and it is clear no one will be able to stop him. George Michael’s death shook the world as a whole and everyone is waiting eagerly to pay their last respects.
