Also a Pennsylvania native, Giovanna Yannotti was born on March 26, 1987, in Pittsburgh. She is half-Italian and half-Mexican. Giovanna attended the University of Pittsburgh where she pursued a career in acting and modelling but later dropped out of school.

Kurt was previously married to Karen Smedley in a marriage which lasted for 10 years (1998 to 2008) and produced two children; a daughter, Kyra born in 2002, and a son, Kody born in 2006.

2. There is a 19-year age difference between Giovanna and Kurt

Kurt was born 9 December 1968 while Giovanna was born March 26, 1987.

3. Giovanna met her husband on a movie set

The couple met in 2009 while they were filming the movie End Game. In the movie, Angle played the role of a murderer who kidnaps a police officer’s daughter while Yannotti played a small role in the film as a “Customer at Restaurant.” Giovanna once revealed that she did the movie as a favour to her best friend’s dad in a last-minute replacement on set.

The couple who apparently met by fate instantly connected at their first meeting. After that film, during Kurt’s injury rehabilitation period, the two eventually became close as Giovanna would come round every day to check in on him and keep him company, the rest they say is now history.

4. They officially became life partners on July 20th, 2012

The couple got engaged in 2010 and after two years, they tied the knot in a wedding ceremony at their hometown Pennsylvania. The ceremony was attended by close family members and friends.

You bet Kurt had no choice but to finally succumb.
